Think that's pretty standard on the 757's.

You can try playing with the flex days feature on UA site & see what comes up. I used 7 days in OCT, & 10/8-15 & 10/22-29 both @$534 came up.

You may want to lock in what you can find—while you still can. This is a terrific deal—especially from far off SFO.

BOOKED! How do you guys feel about getting to OSL then taking a flight to Paris or Madrid. It seems cheaper that way. Just curious.

If Oslo holds little or no interest, why not use as launch point for other cities/places? Whole point of travel (other than business) is to have fun!

Side trips are good ways to leverage mileage runs. But be careful when nesting itineraries on disparate airlines. If you're delayed getting back to OSL, UA won't necessarily be too sympathetic.

I would be more concerned about the converse.... the probability of there being a delay on UA is greater, and the OTA may not be as lenient.

Though honestly, I'd just allow a decent connection time (several hours) and not worry about it.

I plan on heading back to OSLO a day earlier so I should be able to make any UA delays. I do play on using Oslo as a launch point for other cities in Europe.

I'm thinking Paris and/or Madrid...however seeing as my itinerary goes from 10/22-10/29 from SFO-OSL-SFO, My Paris/Madrid time frame will be looking like 10/23-10/28. This will also be my first time to EU!

You miss the point. You need to be more careful about booking your OSL-XXX tickets because UA, especially out of EWR, is prone to delays.

OSL is an easy airport to connect in, but I would still allow extra time. (We were delayed an hour last month. Buddy delayed 30 mins this past week. It's pretty common. EWR and UA are a mess.)

I'm going to take a day trip by road to small locales in Western Sweden during my 3-day stay.

I can't seem to find any availability for this except for 10/22 and 10/27. I'm searching from SFO, is there a better airport to search from, since it connects via EWR?

The price goes up flying from any other city to OSL, tried LAX/ORD.

Edit: These are other cities in the routing rules on KVS, but I'm not sure if I'm just doing it wrong

Per ITA search, available @$534 on 10/8 ex SFO, for 6 nts or 10/22 for 4 nts & that's it. This UA deal has been around since early April at varying prices but I only found it ex SFO or EWR.

Doing a quick-and-dirty google flight search (for speed, then confirming a few on united's website), I see $534 RT for departures on Oct 1, 8, 15, 22 (all Wednesdays). These are from SFO-EWR-OSL.

If departure on Oct 1: $534 return on Oct 8,13,15,20,22,27 (M/W)
If departure on Oct 8: $534 return on Oct 13,15,20,22,27, Nov 3,5,7 (M/W/F)
If departure on Oct 15: $534 return on Oct 20,22,27, Nov 3,5,7,10,12,14 (M/W/F)
If departure on Oct 22: $534 return on Oct 27, Nov 3,5,7,10,12,14,17,19,21 (M/W/F)
