Flight is only 187 miles. $60/187 = $0.32 per mile, which is what non-elites would receive.
With 500 mile minimums, your $0.12 is correct. Still a terrible MR, unless you're <1000 miles short and value convenience over miles.

Both require a fairly long layover in Guayaquil. But interesting destination!

AA: BOS-ORD and vice versa $59 ow, $117 rt
Quite a good deal on now from BOS to ORD. I haven't spent much time on it, but they seem to be good on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in December. Lots of availability.
One ways for $58.20, round trips for $116.39. Immediate turnarounds available.
Not a mileage run (6.8 cpm), but a good fare for this pair.

US Airways DCA-MCI $153--lots of availability in January including MLK weekend.
I just booked (although I'm torn b/c that is also Innaguration weekend which I kind of want to stay in DC for). It is only 8 cents/mile but that is a PHENOMENAL rate--the normal rate on that flight is $220-$240 and the only time that I remember booking a flight even close to that over a weekend would have been 5 years ago when I first moved here.
FYI for those in Kansas City wanting to come for innauguration (or in January period for a weekend), you can find that price MCI-DCA also. That is an insanely cheap flight, but be warned: hotel prices will be expensive and sell out quick for innauguration, so if you want to come to DC for innauguration, you should book this flight today and book your hotel today as well.
