Dear all,

A little off topic, but I'm trying to book one of the fares discussed in this tread and having some problems finding a website that will allow me to book multiple segments in different classes ?

I need to book an itinerary that consists of some legs in C and some in F.

Thanks & regards,

El Puerco Volante.

You could try https://ifly.sabreexplore.com.au/searchAir.do

Looks like I need another suggestion

Occasionally cheapoair.com will work for me. But only in the case where the legs you want to take in economy are one-class flights.

Typically most OTAs will not allow you to specify cabin of service on a segment-by-segment basis.

Otherwise, you will probably need the assistance of a good travel agent.

KLM Summer deals from Canada. 2500 CAD Toronto/Montreal - Europe

Interesting was 2999 CAD Toronto-JNB, 3299 Calgary-JNB.
Several *A airlines seem to have matched, albeit in P class. Weird is that LX is showing P on swiss.com, but not on Matrix. Others showing about $2500 on Matrix....

on kayak, it shows Swiss first. When I click to buy on swiss.com, it switches back to business (P)
Is P business or first?

I miss the good old days of ITN...
I have yet to find an OTA now that can do multi-class bookings.

I'm seeing o/w fares from YVR-LON in early Sept. on LX for a fraction of the normal cost. Vayama and Kayak both show them. But when I click through on LX's site, I don't get that price.

Virgin Atlantic (via vayama) has a similar price. But it says it's business class, and I can't tell if that's VA Upper, or PE.

This is posted both as a request to help me figure it out , and as a tip for someone that needs a o/w ticket.

On Vayama, under the flight details there's a tab called fare details.

This will give a fare basis code and the first letter usually equates to the cabin you're booked into.

Then look here http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/us...ingclasses.jsp

So if the fare code is Zxxxxx you have a discounted upper class ticket
If it's Kxxxxx you have a premium economy ticket

BTW, business fare codes in declining order are now: J,C,D,Z,P.

Thanks for the clarification.

So this wiki page is out of date? Looks like kayak still thinks P is first. It listed as first on its page.

P First Class Premium

It varies by airline. For example, for Singapore Airlines and Air France P is First, for United P is Business, and for Alitalia P is Premium Economy.

It really varies by airlines. Another example, Z is Business Premium on SQ while J is Business Discount on SQ.@:-) NH uses Z for Premium Economy. BA uses R for deep discount economy. Frankly, that wiki page is more misleading than useful.
