Tornado Warning in ORD

ORD is a mess right now, and NWS just announced a tornado warning for Cook County, where ORD is located.

This picture is from flightaware as of 7:54pm CDT.

I notice some flights in Indiana are making circles right now. Hopefully they don't have to divert....

Good luck guys.

That's an awesome picture. Shows the effects of the storm cell perfectly. There's a couple of flights in there which must have had some pretty strong turbulence!

There was just a little blurb on our local news (AZO)...they're diverting some to GRR, where the power is out and they're running on generator power.

On the United board there was mention of possible tornado sightings in Lincoln Park and/or Navy Pear. Anyone confirm that? (our old house was on Wellington when we lived in Chicago).

I've heard of a "navy bean" but never a "navy pear."

I think most of the city is fine. A few fallen trees...that's about it. I've seen a lot worse.
