IAD A to C Transfer

Can someone provide some details about the Terminal A to Terminal C transfer at IAD? If I have done this transfer before, I do not recall it.

Hi,

You should use the "moon buggies" from A-C ( they leave between the A/B terminal as shown here;. They are fairly frequent (5-10mins or so)

Just follow the signs to transfer to Terminal C. Basically you'll take the escalator up from the A terminal and turn to the transfer "moon buggy" to the left. On the opposite side, to the right, goes the transfer to the Main terminal.

Total transfer time from gate to gate should be 12-15 minutes worst case scenario.

Why? Both Terminal A and C belongs to United!!!

The chanse that somebody browses the WAS forum for this is probably nada, but very high for somebody browsing the United forum.

Actually, the Washington forum gets quite a few queries about IAD and responses seem pretty fast, although perhaps not quite so fast as they would be in the United Forum for a United A to C transfer.

In any case, it seems that both you and the financial Scot have answered the question adequately. Now, it will be helpful for anyone else who needs the information who is not a United flier.

you'll soon hear that this is a moderation comment and against TOS. Both your and my posts will go *poof* ... for some reason the UA forum is going through a total cleansing these days and anything off topic even slightly gets shunted elsewhere.

You Want to Go Where? is right that now the info is available for non-UA fliers, unfortunately A and C, as you noted, is for UA fliers (and a few LH flights but those folks will do customs first) -- and for those UA fliers who actually need the info they will now need to do additional searching/looking for this thread as it's not residing with the airline specific threads, like it would for the other non-UA airlines when they occupy the terminals under discussion.

I once asked a question whether a United captain on a United flight starting from Harrisburg, PA broke a rule. Anyhow since the origin was Harrisburg that thread was moved to the Mid-Atlantic forum.

Sorry. I was unaware that there was history also involved in this. I was merely indicating that the Washington forum is a reasonably active forum as destination forums go.
