No Visa tie-in!!!

I've had to skip the previous MB's because I'm required to use my corporate Amex. Thanks for dropping the Visa requirement

Now I need to do the math between this and the SPG Night after Night promo. At least they're all night based, not stay based, so no winter hotel hopping.

Mine is 35K for 20 nights, upped to 50K total for 25 nights.

I just noticed it starts Feb.1 - I guess that answers where my Jan stays will be.

I also got 20/40K. I like it better then the 25/50k ^

Rock on the link and I'm Gold?!

where is the red register button

I was registered for the 50K offer. I need to go get some of my Visa postings corrected for the current offer since I am missing 5 nights credit for the current promotion.

Disappointed - I got 5,000 points every other stay; max 25,000 pts

Me too. 11 stays within 3 months should be an easy task so will ask to get another promo once i am over the assigned threshold. No clue however how they assign those promos. I maxed the current MegaBonus and requalified for Plat easily so why not assign me a higher threshold in the first place...

I am just a Marriott Silver and I only got an offer for 25,000 points. Is there any way to get a better one?

No - only platinum members can change their promotion at will (well, by sending an email to the concierge or calling up the plat desk). Even then you then don't really change promotion they just manually add the additional points at the end of the offer period (or when you hit the target). This is just a 'special' case to reward their best customers and until I started reading FT I never realised it was possible :D

Of course, you could always try and ring up and ask if you have a good reason... don't think it would work though as they are trying to use the promotions to change people's staying habits (i.e. stay more at Marriott!!) to benefit their bottom line, not to give away points for no reason!

Edit: Looks like I was mistaken, based on other posts below - seems anyone (??) can give it a whirl and ask for a promo change, so, good luck if you try

I was registered to the promo by Marriott ….no need to register

so, higher redemption values needed for award stays, but no increase in points for promotions???

frankly, given the upcoming devaluation of points, I am disappointed with this promotion as is it is for the same point range as prior to the devaluation, meaning that the value of the promotion is significantly lower.

I shifted the vast majority of my stays to Starwood in Q4 given their terrific "You Choose" promo and might just have to continue for Q1 with the nights promo. I just don't see the value with this Marriott promotion.

50k for 25 nights for the third straight time. Got the first two easily and should get this one as well ^.

flyingdagger Dec 19, 2008 8:43 pm

I must have gotten the worst promo so far. 3K for every 2 stays, with maximum of 15K points for the entire promotion period. Gee, what will that get me?

I've always had to call and ask for the "better" promotion, even being Plat.

I got the 25 nights/50K promo
I doubt i make it given all the budget cutbacks but stranger things have happened....i see close to 20 nights through April in my future.

Don't feel too bad, I got the exact same offer. I'm a lowly Silver....
