So I booked a stay for next week, and ordered a travel package. As usual, the travel package hotel portion is stated in my "unused hotel portion" of activity. When checking my stay, it still said "You do not have certificates ordered for this stay.."blah blah blah!
So I call to have the cert attached...as I have had to do NUMEROUS TIMES lately!
It was CONFIRMED by a "Customer service manager" that "EVERYTHING IS OK, no need to worry, the cert is attached!"
Well..guess what??? Today, 7 days prior, 130K are deducted from my account!
WHEN will MR get this right????

I had this same thing happen recently also. I called MR, and they fixed it. It is still attached, but looks like I better check regularly to be sure it stays attached!!!

I *always* check with the hotel about a month in advance to ensure that all is well with the award and that they have what they need. So far, that has sufficed.
It pays to check with the hotel anyway since they can give you information about the location if you haven't been there.

Called the hotel earlier this morning. SURPRISE...MR took an additional 130K out of my account, AND cancelled my week long stay!

FDM at the hotel assured me HE would renew the reservation, AND HE would call MR cust service in the am to get the mess straightened out! ^

My travel packages are never in the unused certificates portion once they're attached. My reservations read:
"Marriott Rewards Redemption
The certificates attached to this reservation may not match the number of days, room type, or other features of your stay. Please call Guest Services to ensure you have the proper certificates for your reservation."
If they're still in the unused certificates area after you're being told "they're attached to your res.", doesn't that mean that they're not really attached? Or does it keep bouncing in and out of your unused certificates portion?
