Shuttles in DEN
Didn't one of the downtown properties use to have an airport shuttle? I have two trips to DEN coming up but don't feel like renting a car (or taking a taxi).

I don't recall either the Marriott or the Courtyard properties in downtown having shuttle service when I was there in 2000-2001.
I just looked at the website, and the Towneplace Suites lists a shuttle service at the low cost of $60 one-way.
Taxi is probably your best bet.

I don't recall a shuttle either. I used to live up in Keystone and I would park for free at the Marriott at DIA walk in the side door and go to the lobby to get on the shuttle! I did that MANY times.
The last time I had to go from DIA downtown without my car I used Super Shuttle. $22, I think?

None of the downtown properties have shuttles. Super Shuttle has a counter at the airport. There are a couple of local options as well. It will be around $50 roundtrip which compares favorably to taxi fare which is $50 each way.
The Renn has a shuttle but its no where near downtown and there is no easy way to get downtown from there using public transportation.
Alternatively, if you're really looking to travel cheap, the local transit district operates Skyride which runs to major transit stops. One of them runs downtown, a few blocks from the downtown properties. I think the fair is $7-8 each way.

It's not that I want to travel cheap, it's that I know I'm going to be chemically impaired when it comes time to return to the airport. Eh, we'll figure it out. I think I'm confusing another property in another city.

The whole time I skipped over this thread thinking DEN was Denmark for some reason...

You do know that the GA might turn you away and prevent boarding if you look chemically impaired?

But I'm not sure I understand the original question. Why don't you just have your driver waiting?

I used Karim at All Access Limousine
Having spent 5 months in Denver earlier this year, I arranged for Karim to pick me up on Sunday nights and deliver me back to the airport on Fridays.
He is a great person and was always very Prompt. Plus his rates were reasonable. 720-366-4820. Tell him his buddies from Alabama said Hey!
