JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur, 20th - 22nd July, 2013

Marriott price for cancellable room (total incl. tax) = USD325.23

otel.com price for cancellable room (total incl. tax) = USD315
\ link - http://www.otel.com/hotels/jw_marrio...Id=OT-69048469

I'm a noob with LNF (1st time), would this constitute as LNF?

Can't see why not. I'd suggest trying. You can cancel if it doesn't work...

saerogenta13 Jul 9, 2013 8:39 pm

Unfortunately it got rejected (Marriott's LNF team is really prompt!)

"the guarantee does not apply to pre-paid rates that involve a voucher (including electronic vouchers) for a hotel stay outside of the United States and Canada. According to our review, we have determined that a travel voucher will be issued for the accommodations with which your comparison was made."

But I'm just curious since I would not consider the lower rate as a pre-paid rate since it is cancellable.. Nonetheless I've already cancelled my reservation with Marriott, thought I'd scour the Marriott FT threads more to get more clues first

Chicago and surrounding

Hi,

We are taking our daughter for college tour at the end of this week in Chicago. Checking in 7/11 for 2 nights. Our budget is $100 or less. We are platinum member and we can stay anywhere in Chicago or surrounding areas. I have been unsuccessful in searching for a lower price than Marriott's official website. Currently, I have booked at Renaissance North Shore at $109 per night plus tax. But I would like to get this lower if possible. Any Marriott hotel brands are OK.

For the experts on LNF, if you can PM me some smaller well-known sites, I will do the research myself. Appreciate your help!

Please do not post the names of the sites you are using for LNF claims. There are two reasons for this. First, Marriott reads this thread, and will know where we are finding the better rates, and adjust accordingly. Second, it is a violation of the informal agreement between FlyerTalk and Marriott. This was one of the reasons why I compiled the LNF Obscure Booking Sites list (I will start sending it out again, soon, probably monthly instead of weekly, which was too much work).

Los Angeles Airport Marriott

Hotel: Los Angeles Airport Marriott
Check-in: Thursday, November 7, 2013
Check-out: Friday, November 8, 2013
Marriott rate: $199+tax
Room Type: Guest room, 1 King or 2 Double

I've tried a LNF request but it was denied (105+tax) because of Cancellation Policy and the cheap rate is no longer available.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Have you checked out the Ren LAX, which is around the corner? Often, the rates there are cheaper, and it is a real nice hotel.

Edit: No longer necessary, got a nice LNF for the Marriott Grand Hotel!

I'm trying to find a LNF for:
Courtyard Moscow City Center
09/22 - 09/29
ADP: 5*10,500 + 2*6,800 = 77,998 RUB (~2405 USD) (ex tax)
Regular: 5*11,500 + 2*8,000 = 86,730 RUB (~2674 USD) (ex tax)

It seems impossible to find any decent rates in Moscow... Any help is much appreciated!
