Las Vegas LNF (Cosmo or Grand Chateau)
Hotel: The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Check in: Friday, Oct 25 Check out: Sunday, Oct 27 Marriott rate: $700 average Room Type: Wraparound Terrace or Hotel: Marriott's Grand Chateau Check in: Friday, Oct 25 Check out: Sunday, Oct 27 Marriott rate: $479 average Room Type: 3 Bedroom Villa I'm planning a bachelor party. I would really like to get the bachelor a nice, luxurious suite where we can do some not so nice things. I've checked the regular meta-search sites and plugging in some reservation codes from the master list to no avail. I've already booked the Grand Chateau using 10% off code and AMEX's $50 off $200 @ travelocity.com (used separate AMEX for each night to double up). Hoping we can get something that compares pricewise at the Cosmo (~$865), or a better deal at the Grand Chateau. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |
I was booking a Ren on Aruba - marriott gave me $166 last night, while on kayak i got $133 via [site name redacted].
I decided to book both just so I have proof and sent LNF. Of course today in the morning the $133 rate is gone from [site name redacted] kayak and LNF gets denied later in the day I sent in PDF print out of my confirmation - what do you guys think my chances are? |

A couple things to note. First: Post 1 of this thread asks you to not name specific sites. (Naming which site you used for the LNF is not cool.) Second, it's documented in this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/marri...rsion-brg.html that rates may drop after the end of the business day and go up again when the next business day starts. That sounds like what happened to you. Third, it's documented in the same thread (which it sounds like you should read end to end!) that you don't need a confirmation from the third party site to do an LNF, and furthermore it doesn't help with an LNF a single bit! |
Hi,
You all have helped me before (I have no idea how you find these rates!) and I appreciate it. I'm going to London and would like to stay closer in, but am a small business guy and can't afford the Marriott's general rates. Any help I could get on finding a decent rate at either Grosvenor hotels would be appreciated. Check in: 09Jul Check out: 12Jul |
Hotel: Any in San Diego
Check in: Wed, Aug 14th Check out: Sun, Aug 18th Marriott rate: Wed-Friday: $138 average, Fri-Sun 112 average Have to head to San Diego for a friends wedding. Will be jumping all over the area, so don't really care where I'm staying. Even willing to hotel hop, but Friday/Saturday night must be in same hotel. |
Not a straightforward LNF request...
I have a reservation for a hotel for 2 nights. Two weeks after booking I found a possible LNF. The competing site is offering a deluxe room. Marriott only has a superior room for the 1st night but has the deluxe room the 2nd night. I have a deluxe room for night 1. Question: If I cancel my reservation for the deluxe room for night 1, will it replenish the inventory immediately, so I can rebook and file the LNF? Or does the hotel hold the room and assess the rate they put the room back in the system at? Thanks... |
I've never had to ask for help before, so I hope that somebody else knows of a site which I am missing.
I'm having some difficulty finding an LNFable rate in Hong Kong city from Aug 16-19. I've found an excellent LNF opportunity at SkyCity (rate goes down to almost US$120), but I want something closer to the city (Ren/JW/Ritz). The Ritz is probably out of my budget range, but you never know - I've gotten lucky before :) Should I just give up and book SkyCity? Should I wait and hope that something will open up? |

Why don't you just file for Skycity? Since you can cancel it if you change your mind later. It's far away from the city unless you take the ultra expensive airport express, and if you want to spend the time in the city then you will miss the cocktail time. I use the certs I earned from promo for hotels in HKG. |
That doesn't sound encouraging :(
In your opinion, is Courtyard Hong Kong for US$102/night or SkyCity for US$122.25 a better deal? |

Basically nil. They don't care about screen saves, if they can't find the rate they'll never approve the claim. (The only time screen saves may help is if they simply help explain how to find the rate on the third-party site. But the LNF team has to find that rate themselves, or they won't approve the LNF.)

I know i didnt need to book the 3rd party - but I also didnt want to miss the good rate. You are correct they dont care about screenshots, and also they couldnt even see the 3rd party rate or time it was make. They claimed it could take days to reach their system so the time stamp is not a proof. I ended up cancelling 3rd party reservation and it went back into the pool immediately. So I was able to LNF instantly - the rep was very responsive. Ended up having the room for $103 plus topcashback rebate - under $100 |
