I'm heading to LAX next week but I haven't had any luck with LNF yet on these hotels:

Feb 4-5
LAX Marriott: $239
Renaissance LAX: $219

If anyone can find anything better (even in other hotels in LA) it'd be much appreciated!

From first blush, it does not seem as if your request is actually a LNF rate help request, but just an overall "I want to spend less" request. So, considering that, unless you are limited in your choices to FULL SERVICE hotels, then you must be kidding? There are many hotels within about 15 miles of LAX* which are under $200 for those two nights, most of them CY, SHS, and RI. However, if you do require FS, and you are willing to travel a bit farther, Long Beach Marriott, at $204/night for those two nights, is 21 miles from LAX, and Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport, at $183/night for those two nights, is 27 miles from LAX. All of the rates I found were without any kind of discount or special rates, not even AAA.

*ranging from $149-$189/night for two nights, eight of them within 9 miles.

As you said, there are plenty of cheaper Marriott properties in the LA area. I assumed that because I listed two properties at LAX, it was clear that I am looking for an LAX property. I don't actually need to be at LAX itself, but merely near it (Loyola Marymount) so I said "other hotels in LA" just in case someone else was booking a room in LA and found a LNF candidate elsewhere nearby. I hope that clears up any confusion.

In many cities, there are airport hotels which are as much as 5-10 miles from the airport, however, since I found SO MANY, I just made reference to all of them, even though many of them are in very close proximity to the airport, and several of them do have airport or LAX in their names. Since you put "(even in other hotels in LA)" and not (even for other LAX hotels) in your posting, and since LA hotels and LAX hotels are not the same thing, it would be quite reasonable to offer you what I did. Also, since LNF rates are specifically sensitive to that one hotel, it seemed as if you were confused about how LNF works, since you were comparing different hotels, with different prices, and casting a wide net, that you were more interested in lower prices than in specifically LNF hotel rates. Would you be more interested in a LNF hotel which nets you a $186.40/night rate, or a non LNF hotel which nets you a $160/night rate. There was quite a bit about your post which was unclear, so I replied as best as I could, given the criteria you supplied (hotel, LAX, LA, $239, $219, date(s), no specific budget, no specific type of hotel other than "other", and better).

ADD EDIT: You did not mention Loyola Marymount in your original request, and, for what it is worth, in doing the search that I did, 8 out of the first 12 hotels which come up have either "LAX" or "Airport" as part of their names, and in this case, up to four miles from LAX. Specific help requires specific information.
