Points Transfer Headache

I have faxed the same point transfer request 2 times and mailed it 1 time. This has all been in the past 30 days and the transfer has yet to happen.
How long does this usually take? Do I try agian and send it by carrier pigeon
this time? Thanks for any input, Deb-Indiana

I assume this point transfer is in conjunction with either an award or the death of a spouse/partner. If it is the later, then my heartfelt condolences on your loss. Also if it is the later, you should probably call Marriott Rewards and speak with someone who can address your concerns.

If it is in conjunction with an award, then the point transfer should happen automatically from/to you and your spouse/partner's account when you make your award reservation. Once again if it has not happened then I would call Marriott Rewards and inquire as to the status.

Point transfers under and other conditions are not allowed per Marriott Rewards Terms and Conditions.

Yes,
My points trasfer is for an award stay.....my husband is alive and kicking!
I have transfered points in the past very easily. There is a kink this time. Third time should've been the charm but .... looks like it will take another try.
Just cant imagine why this cant be taken care of quickly? Deb

Everytime I have done it, I have had the reservation, call the rewards line (not res.) and a person setup the transfer, and faxed me the form. I faxed it back to there attention and it happened within hours of the return.

Its my understanding that you cannot just transfer points, and that may be why there is a delay, you missed a step?

YMMV

First of all, I'm sorry for the inconvenience you're having regarding the point transfer process. Normally, it should go smoothly.

There might be a couple of problems which may explain why it's taking so long. I'm not exactly sure what you're situation is though, so I can only speculate, and I apologize if I'm incorrect. You've confirmed your rewards reservation with the reservations department? You've called the rewards department and had them faxed or mailed out the needed form? And you're faxing or mailing it back to the same person's attention? If you're doing all those steps correctly, then I don't see what the problem could be. It might also be that (and I hope this is not the case), if you have called the rewards department to request the point transfer form, you may have been working with a new hire. Again, I'm not exactly sure what the problem is exactly - I can only speculate.

I would contact the rewards department again, like others have mentioned, and either request to speak to the representative who originally sent out the point transfer form in the first place, or have the other representative fax or mail out a new one.

Again, I apologize about the delay and inconvenience. Hopefully we won't have this problem again in the future.
