Fall Megabonus?
I logged onto my account today and found that I am pre-registered for the fall megabonus. You have to stay 15 nights between Sept 15 and Jan 31. No idea what you get though. Anyone else get this? Does anyone know what the bonus is?
I will reach this by Mid-October, so whatever it is will be nice.

Marriott Rewards members who register will earn MegaBonus points when they stay a total of 15 nights between September 15, 2006, and January 31, 2007, at a participating Marriott property and payment is made with a Visa card
I always use PP to pay the most part of the bill, then use visa to pay the the rest of the balance, don't know if it will be eligible for the 15 nights or not

Seems like they still have a few kinks to work out however. From the FAQ's:
"Is there a limit to the number of points I may earn?
Yes, registered members are eligible to receive a maximum of 25,000 MegaBonus points in addition to their base points during the promotional time period"."
Given my stays, I would have preferred the Visa double points promo, but I guess I should be thankful there is even a promo to begin with.

Thanks OP, I went ahead and cancelled some reservations I made as they were for before 9/15 and wouldn't have counted. Im also on a SPG 2x stay Credit per night , so I'll stay at SPG before 9/15 to renew my Plat with them and then over to MR where I have 17 nights already booked.
MR gave me the 20 for 35k, SINCE the promo lasts till 1/31/07 Ill wait to complete my last 3 nights till after 1/1 so that it will count towards my Plat renewal for '08.
Of cause if SPG,HH or MR is much cheaper for any particular night in any given city that will have some weight as well. SPG 2x on Stays is good till 11/30. So no reason I shouldnt be able to get everything in with proper planning.

thanks for the heads up, I have reallocated stays to Hilton and Hyatt up to 9/15 and Marriott 9/15 forward.

I also got 35K for 20 nights. I was hoping for double points again. I really cleaned up on that last year...

I need some historic perspective. Im new to Marriott this year. In the past I have stayed primarily at Hilton and Starwood. Are these offers considered good historically? The reason I ask is 35,000 points for 20 nights is almost the same as saying one free night after 20 nights. When I think back to many of the Hyatt, SPG, and Hilton promotions over the years this seems pretty tame but folks here seem to be getting pretty excited about it. I know last fall there was a MR double points promotion which seems better but generally speaking in Marriott land is the current round considered a good promotion?

I got stay 3, 10000 bonus.
The dates of this promotion overlap with another stay 4, get 10000 targeted promotion i received. I wonder if stays during the overlap period will count for both?
