I have rung up about changing mine from MGF62 (5,000 points every third stay up to 25,000 points) to MGF63 (35,000 points after 20 nights).
I am still registered to the original promotion which cannot be changed, but there is now a note on my file to make a manual adjustment when the promotion has ended (this has worked before).
I am a platinum premier so it maybe that this is exceptional.

The dates of this promotion overlap with another stay 4, get 10000 targeted promotion i received. I wonder if stays during the overlap period will count for both?

The Visa requirement is a joke. Most corporate card programs are run by AMEX so I would think there business travelers won't use it. I guess balance of year is SPG for me.

Of course, your company may be different (bummer), but don't assume that most business travellers don't have the needed flexibility.

Here's a dumb question...for those of us who are on Amex corp accounts:
If I pay using Visa and Amex (split payment method), do you still get credit for paying with Visa?
Is this even possible with Marriott's system?
Reason is, I only have a $1500 limit on my personal Visa card and my credit doesn't allow me to qualify for Marriott's Visa. If I pay 1/2 with Amex and 1/2 with Visa, do I still qualify?
Hmmmm....

I just did the split payment last weekend. Renaissance LAX.
I checked in with the corp AX, paid 1/2 with Visa at checkout and they left the balance on my AX. No problem at the front desk but however when it all posted, I didn't get any promo credit for the megabonus. Will try again later and follow up after the next stay

When I spoke with Marriott, I was told that this promotion is basically funded by VISA through its purchase of Marriott points. Knowing that Marriott reads this forum, it is possible that VISA learned of the "settle to VISA" method that was used in the last promo, and which was widely publicized in this forum, to enable people who did not totally pay with the VISA card to still receive the points that VISA paid for. I imagine that VISA was not thrilled to see that someone would put, say, $900 on an AMEX card and $100 on the VISA card, and still receive all of the points as if a VISA card had been used for the total bill. It is possible, and I emphasize that I am only speculating, that some further review of how accounts "settle" is being done this time around so VISA avoids essentially giving out points for accounts not totally paid for with a VISA card. As I said, this is only a guess on my part but it would make sense for VISA to force Marriott to only award points for stays totally paid for with the VISA card. I realize that this may be inconvenient for some people who have to use an AMEX card, but since VISA essentially funds the promo it can do as it pleases. If there were an AMEX promo, I would be out of luck since I do not use AMEX, but as with all promos, some of us will qualify and some us won't. That's kind of the way these things seem to go.

Anyone know if paying for the room with Visa and incidentals with Amex works? I did this last week and have not received credit for the stay. Sent an email in to MR today and have yet to hear back. Will post the results.
If they do not give credit for this, I will be quite annoyed as I feel at least paying for the room with a Visa card meets the terms and spirit of the promotion.

BTW, checking in before Sept 15 and out after Sept 15 does not count for this promotion.
Good to know for future reference... Not a showstopper for me...it'll just delay my completion of the Megabonus by 1 stay.

I would do it, but I always pay with marriott cards, so I wouldn't know.
