35/20 for me, but the Visa requirement makes it a no-go. I guess I'm headed to SPG.

35/20 here. Guess I will have to find my visa card and ditch the amex for awhile.

I called and was told that based on stay history, I only qualified for MGF62 and could not change registration to MGF63 or any other level. Probably not going to make 15 stays before Jan.31, 7 or 8 is more likely.

So if I register this VISA promotion, then can I get 5,000 point for every stay?
Please let me know.

My offer was 10K for three stays. I don't travel much anymore but I registered anyway.

[QUOTE=pinniped]Every time Marriott runs a new Megabonus, we usually get a thread or two that lists what offers people are getting. Quickly, someone posts links to all of the possible Megabonuses, and folks post their elite level, the offer they received, and sometimes their general level of happiness with their offer.
So...how happy are you, over the course of time, with your offers?
In the past, my Megabonus offers have been either way too high - meaning there was no way I could reach it - or far too simple, meaning I couldn't earn many points. But this time, the offer I got fits right: it's appropriate for my current "pace", meaning it will likely end up being a win-win. Marriott will get a solid stay pace from me in an off-peak season, and I'll get 25,000 bonus points.
What about you? Do they come well-tailored for your recent/current stay pattern? Do they seem to be trying to bump your pace up a bit? Or are they just lame - stay a few times for 5,000 bonus points and you're done.
Occasionally I can benefit from the offer. My offer was 15 nights/25,000 points. In past years, that would have been perfect for me. Now I might rather have MGF66 (10000 points after 3rd stay).

I was offered MGF61. In line with what I would expect. Second stay 2,500 up to 10,000 total. My third stay is coming up. Should earn entire 10K points by Jan

Am I the only one who wasn't targeted? I'm a platinum member with 141 stays current posted for the year and I'm currently in another stay. I received a promotion about the marriottvirtual tour, but nothing about a megabonus. Is there a link somewhere? I logged into my marriottrewards.com account and nothing there either. Am I blind or was I really not targeted?

There is a box on the right side for promotions if you go to the activity page for your Marriott account. It should state that you are preregistered for the Fall 2006 Megabonus.

Guess they know I will continue to smoke on my balcony and they don't want me there

I was originally registered for MGF62 5000 every 3rd stay up to 25000.
This didnt really fit in well with my stay pattern for upcoming stays so I phoned and they changed it to the MGF63 35,000 for 20 nights without any problems.
When the promotion ends or on completion of the 20th night Ive got to phone back to have the points credited though as the online tracker still shows the original promotion

I'm logged into my marriott rewards account on marriottrewards.com and I'm on my account activity page but I don't see anything about promotions. Any ideas? I may just be slow, but I really don't see anything
EDIT: Found it on marriott.com but when I click it, it says unavailable...

I would suggest calling Marriott Rewards and talking with a CSR. Since they have the ability to change someone's bonus offer, I would suspect they may be able to get you into the bonus. But this is just a guess.

I just called Customer Service and option 4 lists the different promotions in an automated recording. First I heard the Megabonus promotion details, then the Visa DoublePoints, then the Visa Summer Promotion. I was surprised to hear all this, but when I got Customer Service on the phone, they said that the last 2 were from 2005. Then why even mention it on the list of promotions?
Then I tried to change the promotion from the 15/25k MGF62 promotion to the 20/35k MGF63 one, and she said there is "no way we can change the code in the system... they are pre-assigned."
If you get a girl named Sarah on the phone, ask her if she's new (she won't have an extension number too)... if so, hang up! She was rude and had no idea what we was talking about!
