Look at the main bonus page you see after logging in. The content of that page varies by bonus.

There should be three boxes: "Register", "Stay", & "Earn". The earn box should tell you whether you earn points 1,500 points each night or at the end of the promo.

I followed the link and didn't even have to register

************************************************** ******
Get packing ... It's MegaBonus time!

As one of our most valued guests, you know just how generous the Marriott Rewards program can be. And, for a limited time, that great program just got a lot better. It's MegaBonus time!

Register now and start earning your MegaBonus today.

MegaBonus is simple. Here's how it works:

Register: By completing the short form at the right, or by calling 1-888-Marriott (627-7468).
Stay: 20 nights at more than 2,500 Marriott hotels worldwide between March 1 and June 1, 2005.
Earn: 30,000 Marriott Rewards bonus points.
************************************************** ******

The link to the right said I was already registered. I thought maybe I got the wrong link, but I checked the T&C's and they have 2005 dates.

It'll be tough for me to hit it this year though. My client is only 30 miles from where I recently moved to and if I want to stay at a Marriott, I'll have to pay for it
I've got some personal stays in the future planned and I have till June 1st to do 20 nights. Just have to average 7 nights per month for 3 months.

All I see when I log in is my normal account summary. In the right hand corner there's a block to order a Marriott Visa.

There's nothing on the page to indicate a link to any bonus promo.

Where is the "main bonus page" ?

The main bonus page is at the link I posted above. (BTW, great register graphic)

How do you get to this link from the Marriott Web site? Well, the links to this bonus page appeared last night in two places:

1) On the marriott.com home page where it currently says "A Toast for Two"
2) As a graphic that appeared on the Account Summary page (it was on the right side just below the visa offer)

They have since been removed.

Chris is probably busy scolding Marriott's marketing and Web teams today for accidentally posting the promo early. Priority Club does it all the time.

Someone please correct whichever one of us is wrong.
Since the others say "Earn xx points every y stays, up to z" and this one only says "Stay X nights, earn Z points total", I read it as a pretty clear differentiation between earn-as-you-go and big-bang at the end.

To me, it just says your points post along with your stay post - i.e. your 30K will post along with the points for your 20th stay, not on a monthly sweep or at a different time.

RE: Clarification on MGS5R promotion

The promotion you are enrolled in is all or nothing. If you do not stay the 20 nights total, you will not receive any bonus points.

====

And be sure to note the difference between "nights" and "stays" - there is a mix. I think the Marketing department is doing a bit of experimentation and data collection.

If you are PLT - PM me - there's a small twist

5,000 points for two stays. ^ Last year it was 10,000 for seven, so I am doing much better.

Now please bring back the "Double Points for Silver" Promotion again this summer. It landed just in time for my six nights in a suite at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina for the Comic Con. I cleared almost 45,000 points from that one! ^

Don't do the dance just yet. There are different promos going. Mine seems to indicate a per-stay.

Since I'm going to do all the nights anyhow, it doesn't matter to me. I guess we'll just have to start the deal and see what happens.

Nice legs, though.

15 nights = 20K

Register: By completing the short form at the right, or by calling 1-888-Marriott (627-7468).
Stay: 15 nights at any of more than 2,500 Marriott hotels worldwide between March 1 and June 1, 2005.
Earn: 20,000 Marriott Rewards bonus points.

looks like a huge change in plans for me this spring.. SPG and Hh will have to wait a bit longer

Your last name wouldn't be Kerry, would it?

Are you saying you got a promo of 30,000 points for 20 stays, credited at 1500 per stay? Odd - when Marriott mailed me a list of all the Mega Bonus offers, the same list that was posted twice before, that one wasn't listed.

I'm saying I got a promo for 20 nights to yield 30K points. It'sthe last one listed. All I know beyond that is the FAQ quote I listed above.

My original assumption was that they would post either at the end of the promo or periodically. Since they can't reasonably expect you to do all 20 nights in one stay, their statement that "...the points will post with the stay" (or whatever it was) meant to me that every stay your normal points would post (as usual) and so would the bonus points. So, for a three night stay, one would get the normal points you get for every stay, and 3/20ths of the bonus. Which turns out to be 1500 points per night.

There was nothing in the FAQ that I got that indicated that this was an all-or-nothing promo. Unlike OMNI posters, I admit that I can easily be wrong.

I can see doing a 4-night promo or something like that (Hilton does it all the time), but if I were doing a 20-night promo and only made 19 nights, and got nothing for it, I'd be a bit pissed.

YMMV ... and with this promo that's more true than ever.

Thanks for the link

Well, I saw the link on the web page but didn't go there untill I saw this thread. Got 2 for 5000, better than 7 for 10000 of last year.

Now with this new promo, a promo from SPG and its each stays counts for 2 towards Gold, guess a few extra stays are coming. Just have to find a good MEB rate, like a $39 would fit in right into a mattress run along with the double miles from American Airlines and a two night stay using the Buick certificate for the test drive.
