I've used the new beds at the JW in Bucharest a few times already. The mattress is the same but they added new padding a few months ago. The new lined and pillows are quite plush and very comfortable. Enough for me to notice!

Really a great experience and i greatly appreciate the effort they have made in this respect.

I have always enjoyed the Westin beds more than the more recent Marriott beds (haven't tried the Revive beds yet though). From what I've read here and elsewhere it sounds like the Heavenly Bed is the standard to which the others try to measure. As a result I've ordered the Heavenly bed today - they don't give 'em away however, at $1350 for mattress & box spring (no frame). The linens cost almost as much.

I disagree. But my comparison is the Westin South Coast CA on the SPG floor (which is good) with the Marriott Irvine, CA on Concierge floors. The Marriott bed was nearly the best I have ever felt (except maybe a few 5* Resorts) and I spend hundreds of nights a year in hotels. It is difficult for me to judge Westin since I do not stay there much but I think the technology is just a bit dated - like 5 years or more. Hyatt began to follow recently with their version of a plush bed and now Marriott comes in with all out attack on what we will expect from a bed.

I'm deeply indebted to Marriott. If not for them I wouldn't know what the hell a "bed scarf" is!

(Seriously....the new beds ARE great. My only complaint is with those very few properities which have apparently tried to cut corners and retain old, worn out, pillows.)

Just finished a stay at the brand new Marriott on Hollywood (FL) Beach. They had the new beds and they are wonderful! The hotel is great as well!

I haven't seen this in any earlier posts but for those of you who have not yet seen the new Revive Bedding, feel free to check out the www.experiencemarriott.com

I think new beds are great, but the big non-down square pillows don't do anything for me. I'd much rather have more standard/king size pillows that the big squares.

Just stayed at the Denver Marriott West a few days ago, and the Denver Marriott Tech Center a couple of weeks ago. Both supposedly have the new bedding (according to the website) -- but the comforters/pillows/sheets look nothing like that website!

I've just slept in the new bed - it's much of an improvement and the linens are lovely. But how much extra work for housekeepers? How much extra laundry? How does changing and washing duvet covers (a job I hate at home) and a bunch of pillowslips fit with the programme that encourages changing towels less often?

The RI SJC South has the new beds and they are outstanding - I love them. Mrs. GopherPuckGuy just got back from Bloomington, IL, stayed at the CY there and had a similar great experience with the new beds. The only downside is now we have to go out and buy a new mattress for the home base.

The DTW Romulas M has 'em as well as the Costa Mesa M Suites.

It's like jumping into a cloud & going to sleep. The featherbed is the bomb.

Had my first experience with the new beds at the Marriott Suites Dulles Airport in Herndon, VA and I was very impressed and happy with the quality. Not quite Heavenly Bed-level, but I slept very soundly.

Good job, Marriott ^

During my stay at the SLC Marriott City Center in August I got to try out the new beds and found them to be more comfortable indeed since I had a chance to compare them to the ones at the Courtyard LA the nights before.
(I've never found any Marriott bed to be uncomfortable to sleep in, though)
I especially loved the hypoallergenic fluffy pillows for I didn't even have to use the pillow I have to keep bringing along in order not to start sneezing as soon as I lie down.
