Category Upgrades
Does anyone know when Marriott releases and if it can be found somewhere that a hotel Property has changed from say a Category 6 to a Category 7?

Going from memory here, but think Marriott announces category changes late Feb/early March to take effect in late March/early April.

since the mid-cycle changes aren't announced by Marriott and the only way we ever hear of them is here on FT (as I've never read it on any of the blogs I get) my prior comment was intended to say it happens, no more and no less
Marriott has an algoryhtm that automatically increases catagory (ies) once a number of redemptions are made - IMO the algoryhtm is only an increase in categories as I've ever heard of any decreases mid-cycle (which the individual properties due via point stretchers)
