Modifying resrevation on website question

Haven't stay in a Marriott for several years and definitely before their latest website refresh.

I'm booked on a corporate rate in a 2 Queen room. A 1K on my corporate rate just become available (if I make a new booking). Is this possible to modify my reservation to the 1K online?

When I modify room type in my reservation, it will show the 1K but at public rates. If I try to change dates, it allows me to specify my corporate rate code but keeps me in my current room type.

I can't cancel current reservation and book new one as I'm inside the cancellation window.

Thanks.

If you pull up the reservation click on the edit button to the right of room(s).

If it won't let you switch you should call the hotel. I bet they'll do it without a problem.

Thanks. When I hit edit it display all the different room types avail (including 1K) but will not show it with the corp rate just public rates.

If I make a new booking the 1k is avail with the corp rate.

I've had various luck with corporate rates. Some rates correspond to a Corp Code that works at Marriott.com, in which case, making a change isn't an issue. In other cases, it's specific to the property and not possible to do it using a code on Marriott.com, which is when you need to call them or rebook using your corp. system.
