Marriott Properties in Moscow
Hi guys, searched through the threads and it seems that there are only a little information regarding Marriott properties in Moscow. Could somebody be so kind to sum up or compare their stays at any of the Marriott properties in Moscow in terms of :
1. Location (tourist)
2. Drink/snacks in lounge
3. Breakfast for elite member
4. Room upgrade for elite member
5. Overall satisfaction
That will certainly help many FTers who are planning a Moscow trip (including me). And I will provide a trip report after my stay at any of those properties=)

Regarding lounge information there is some information in the sticky thread.
I was in Moscow but only silver elite at that time so I cannot give feedback on your question myself.

Marriott Grand
1. Location (tourist)
Very tourist location and quite business location as well. In the center of city, next to boulevards and walking distance to Red Square.
2. Drink/snacks in lounge
Good selection of drinks. Not impressed with local beer, could have been better local choice from my personal opinion, but everyone has its own taste.
3. Breakfast for elite member
Enjoyed my lounge access, had breakfast.
4. Room upgrade for elite member
Minor upgrades are available.
5. Overall satisfaction
Good experience, but it's not Ritz Carlton Moscow for sure.

Marriott Royal Aurora
1. Location (tourist)
Tourist location opposite Gulag museum, short stroll to Bolshoi. In the centre of city and walking distance to Red Square. Easy access to subway. Area feels very safe.
2. Drink/snacks in lounge
Comfortable large lounge with a good selection of drinks. Lengthy evening happy hour with wines and beers and strong food selection too. It never felt overcrowded.
3. Breakfast for elite member
Lounge breakfast or free full breakfast in restaurant if preferred.
4. Room upgrade for elite member
We were upgraded to concierge level.
5. Overall satisfaction
Good experience, but as per Merlion at the Grand it's not Ritz Carlton Moscow for sure. We used 120k points for 5 nights and felt it was a great use of rewards.

Looking for an update on exec lounge/brekkie
* Moscow / Marriott Tverskaya / NO LOUNGE; FULL Breakfast Daily; This property listing hasn't been updated by FTers since '09, but assuming brekkie still provided daily;
Can anyone confirm if it's still accurate? Thx!
Cheers.

Get into the Ritz if you can. Amazing property. If not, at least visit the rooftop bar.
