Does "Stay twice at any participating hotel between February 1 and April 30, 2013" mean that:

stay twice at any brand that counts stays (some brands don't count stays unless you stay 3-nights) so you do not need to stay at the same prop twice (unless you want to and if back-to-back it will count only as 1-stay).......

Further, back to back stays at the same property do not count as 2 separate stays.

It depends, if you check in at hotel A and check out the next day, then wait a day and come back to check in at hotel A again, then it's 2 stays.

Could you please elaborate on this? I went to the website but couldn't find it. I'm a Hilton Diamond who wants to start using Marriott again for some stays after a several year absence from them. I've got the Megabonus offer in my account for a free night after 2 stays and want to make certain that the 2 stays I choose do the job.

Thanks. I'd read the first page before but had not bothered to look at the partner listings at the bottom. My bad.

Three nights = one night is an issue at only one(tiny) chain of the many Marriott operates, so I wouldn't worry about it over much.

Where in that link does it state that you need to stay 3 nights for a STAY at one of those two chains?

I stayed at the Renaissance LAX check in Jan. 31 - check out Feb. 1. Then the Springhill Suites LAX check in Feb. 1 - check out Feb. 2. I only got credit for one stay for the promotion. So I guess the answer is no.

It is always the NIGHT which counts, and not the day. If you check in on the last day before a promo starts, and check out the next morning, the night is the last night before the promo starts, and no credit towards the promo will be given. If you check in on the last day before a promo ends, and check out the next morning, the night is the last night before the promo ends, and credit towards the promo will be given.

Here we are on February 6 and I still haven't received anything from Marriott about the Spring Megabonus. When I click on Promotions on the website I see "No new promotions" and it just shows my progress towards the last Megabonus (which I hit max reward at 20 nights). I've qualified for Plat in the past two years, if that matters.

Anyone else having this issue?

Sorry, there is NOTHING in that link that says less than 3 nights at those two chains does not qualify as a STAY.

3-5 nights = 1 night

6-8 nights = 2 nights

9-11 nights = 3 nights

etc.

But how do you make the leap form that to 1 or 2 nights not being a stay?
