Response time for missing stay requests

My recent stay (Jan 18) at the Renaissance Gatwick has not posted, so two days ago I faxed the missing stay request and my hotel receipt... how long should I expect it to take now for them to post the stay?

It depends on how busy they are. I have seen a missing stay post in as little as two days but I have also seen it take as much as ten.

OK, next question. How long should I wait till I consider a stay missing? Till it shows up on a milk carton?

It really depends on the property but, as a general rule, if I don't see it within 14 days, I consider it missing and fax in my request.

Had a stay missing since February. Got the form from the website and faxed it in along with the folio, last week. Nothing.

Called the 800 number (above) and got a real person (you have to wait through the options). Explained the problem, so she called the hotel directly. Was surprised to learn that they knew me by name there, and they verified the stay. Claims it will post in a day or so. I'll give them until next Monday.
