(de-lurking for my first post on Flyer Talk)
It's interesting to see all the combinations of nights and miles. I had 20+ Marriott and Renaissance nights and 1 CY night this year, and I got the 15/35k combination. My wife had NO nights this year and got the 3 night/5k promotion. Go figure.
I guess they think since I got 20k out of the possible 25k bonus miles this year that I could get another 15 nights by 3/31. Well maybe if they included the 5 NIGHTS I JUST RETURNED FROM!!! Why do I always miss these things by a week?

I have had 16 nights with Marriott and a few more at Courtyard/Residence Inn, but my stays were in the first few months of the year. I got an offer for 35K points for 15 nights.

dg1, you're probably the last person they need to target.

True; as a loyal customer who stays all the time they probably don't need to give me bonus points-- but since I know about the promotion I plan to call them on it. If they refuse to give it to me, I'll just take my business to Hilton.. That's $30,000 less a year for them.
I'm sure that the Internet really pisses them off when they try targeted promotions, but hey.. their loss.

I have not received any bonus offer as of yet. When I called MR they told me that if I did not receive any offer by the 15th December I should call them back. My understanding is that all members will/ should be receiving an offer.
Incidentaly, everytime I speak to MR they tell me that there will be enhancements to the program early in 2000.

When they eliminated the air/car bonuses, I wrote to them. Their reply said that they would offer some enhanced benefits in the future, but so far I have not seen any.

My offer came yesterday -- 35K for 15 nights. However, it's too little too late since I switched this fall to Hilton's Garden Inns. After staying 30+ nights at the same property last year and being consistently given rooms the exact opposite of my profile, I discovered a Garden Inn just down the road for less money and haven't looked back since.

In reference to CY Club being suspended, I have a pretty good idea what that's about ...
Courtyard Club/Fairfield InnSider Club/Club Marquis will all be going away soon, and in its place there will be a single elite level program for all Marriott chains, so stays at all will count towards a single elite level good at all.
