Which Asheville Marriott?

I plan on going to Asheville October 30-November 2. It would be two adults and one 14 year old. Most of the hotels are quite expensive, but the ones that are okay are the Courtyard, SpringHill Suites, and Fairfield. The Courtyard is the cheapest, but doesn't have free breakfast. But, of those three which would you choose, and yes I did look at other threads, but they're old.

I stayed at the CY twice so far and both visits were very nice. The staff even remembered me on the 2nd stay!

B-fast is not included but there is a IHOP right down the block and lots of face foods in the area. Downtown is not far at all but no fast food or chains downtown.

I think the Courtyard makes sense cuz even though it doesn't have free breakfast, its like $20 less a night, and has 2 Queen vs. Doubles, and the Fairfield is the most expensive and least nice, so definitely not there.

**Correction**
The CY does not have Queen Beds, but even so, I think it is better.

The Courtyard: 1 King + Sofa Bed w/ Taxes, $477
The SpringHill: 2 Double + Sofa Bed w/ Taxes $527
The Fairfield: 1 King + Sofa Bed Studio w/ Taxes $499

Of those, which would you pick?

I would stay at the Grove Park Inn. And I drive 30 minutes out of my way for Marriotts. But the GPI is that special.

FYI - You might be able to get a better rate if you book each day separately and then combine the reservations. i.e. The AAA rate at the CY is not available for the whole stay, but is available for the first & last nights.

Don't know if location is important...but the CY & Springhill are next to each other and less than 2 mi to downtown. They're in a busy (for Asheville!) area of restaurants and the mall. The Fairfield Biltmore Square is about 6 mi from downtown, surrounded by several other hotels and a mostly-empty mall. But that Fairfield is close to a Blue Ridge Parkway entrance and the NC Arboretum.

There's another Fairfield by the airport but, based on what I've heard, it should be avoided.

I would like the downtown area, but I've stayed over by Biltmore Square and it's fine, just wanted to know about the physical hotels.

Another option is Fairfield for the first night then switch to the Renaissance, has anyone stayed at the RS here?

I live about 30 minutes from Asheville - for those rates I'll rent you my guest suite, deliver breakfast on a silver platter, and drive you there.

Seriously, something is off - I just did a search and am coming with rates substantially less than what you are quoting. So check again.....the website has been acting up the last few days, I think.

Based on rates I saw, I would do the "new" Grand Bohemian, which is a part of the Autograph collection.

Well that's three nights total so I don't think it's too terrible, just a shock as it's Asheville. As for the Grand Bohemian it's $350 for the first night then $200 for the other ones. So I really don't know if it is worth it because I can get a suite at the Country Inn on Brevard for $126 a night where I've stayed, but no Points, and I might be gold be then.
