Don't know if location is important...but the CY & Springhill are next to each other and less than 2 mi to downtown. They're in a busy (for Asheville!) area of restaurants and the mall. The Fairfield Biltmore Square is about 6 mi from downtown, surrounded by several other hotels and a mostly-empty mall. But that Fairfield is close to a Blue Ridge Parkway entrance and the NC Arboretum.

There's another Fairfield by the airport but, based on what I've heard, it should be avoided.
