Where to Add Reservation Comments on Web Res?
Since the recent update to the Marriott Web site, I cannot find a field in which to add comments to a reservation. There used to be a 45-character space in which I could type "Plz REMOVE feather pillows/comf VERY ALLERGIC" but the space has disappeared.
This has caused problems, as the "Feather Free Room" checkbox is meaningless. Since the Web site redesign, getting a feather free room has been an issue in every Marriott property in which I've checked-in. I've even left one hotel - Norfolk Chesapeake FS - when the feather free room could not be provided.
Is there somewhere to add comments in a reservation? Or has Marriott decided customer comments are not necessary anymore?

Sorry - I usually search before asking but obviously did not this time.

How many times is this going to be asked before its restored?
Again, hopefully not only the box will be restored but a new, effective process put in place to actually act upon them...

BTW, I remember seeing something like "Upgrade: Requested" on my reservations a while ago. Now I can't find it. Is it gone or I've seen it in my dreams?

I believe that's what reservations agents would type in if you requested an upgrade via the elite line.

5 day before you check-in, you can receive a reminder Email.
Click the Virtual Concieige, then leave your comments.
Then, the AYS in your hotel will contact you soon.

I've just been using the Virtual Concierge link in my reminder emails. I have a particualr room at the Renaissance TImes Square I like, and the old way they never caught my request, but with Virtual Concierge they have been honoring that.
I tend to think that using this for requests might actually be a better option, since you can more clearly type your needs (not limited to 45 characters!) and since it's being handled most lilely at the property level, it's getting local attention so if you request a particular room number, the property can actuall "room block" that room for you and the computers will automatically assign guests to that room prior to your arirval date that are due to check out that day so they don't inadvertently book a stayover in the room (having worked the desk for a few years in college...)

Gotta say, I am not particularly happy with the new booking site. Booked last night and missed the usual opportunity to specify which credit card to use... have now changed profile.

About half of the hotels who send this out do not ever read my response - or at least, they claim total ignorance of my requests at check-in. The properties that do respond well are more likely to get my repeat business.
