Missing Stay Request turnaround time

Anyone else have experience with how long it takes for a missing stay request to get processed and show on your account? I sent in the paperwork to get credit for a Vacation Club stay after some email correspondence early last week and it still hasn't posted.

After waiting almost 3 weeks, I mentioned as I was talking with rewards on another matter. That produced overnight success so try giving them a call but make sure you have your bill when you call.

Call! Get a name and a fax number. Geneally takes no time at all that way. I don't think they do anything with the "missing stay" otherwise!

I have had good success simply emailing with the confirmation number.

Maybe I've been lucky, but I've never been required to send in documentation and the points post within days.

I always scan in my bill and email it to the Elite desk. Normally the points and/or credit appear within 48 hours.

i've had VERY good luck with this too, along with getting those sometimes-elusive arrival points posted.

It will vary, domestic posts are there in a few days, the Int. posts may take 10 days, & then a remider email to Mrt CS might be needed. But the best is just to fax the info to MRT CS, (with details).
BTW, my problems are always with the Asian franchise locations....

Is there a better fax number than listed on the website for sending in a missing stay request?

Problem is, the res were originally under someone elses name and we changed it at check-in to me and my MR number... and they aren't able to locate the res correctly by the number when I call.

Points...

I actually joined this forum as I'm curious about this...for my last three stays, I'm now 3 for 3 in having to e-mail Marriott to correctly input the points. I'm sorry, but to me, this is RIDICULOUS that I should have to do this. I could see every now and again, but 2009 was also riddled with multiple times where the points were not correctly included. Does Marriott plan on doing anything about this? Quite honestly, this alone is enough to cause me to consider changing to SPG or another (assuming they can get it right!)

for some reason i have found that a few certain properties are horrid at posting points in a correct and timely manner, while most properties are perfectly fine. i have no idea why certain places have this issue, but there is one in particular in suburban chicago that NEVER got it right (they claimed that it had something to do with my company's discount rate, although other properties did not seem to have this issue).

i say this because i don't think it's fair to characterize the entire company's points program as lacking due to the deficiencies of a few properties, although if those are the ones that you constantly stay at it can me more than annoying.

I agree - but there were MULTIPLE times during 2007-2009 that I've also had issues. The above issues occurring from 12/10/09 to 2/15/10 are with the Marriott Courtyard Munich (2x) and Delray Beach Marriott. Until their recent devaluation, was considering spending more time with HH, but now it's back to the drawing board...we shall see...it's a shame as in recent years have been close to 150+ nights per year; things such as properly posting points (to me, anyways) are the "low dangling fruit" that the FFPs should get right as this is one thing that should be within their control!!!
