I am staying there in early August for 2 nights (using the free weekend promos that I earned).
After reading these reviews, they seem to take very good care of Plats, and Golds have mixed results. I'm a Gold.

They gave me a "Wonderful" room with limited view, so I guess I'll wait and see what that entails.

I'll keep hoping for an upgrade, but plan on spending most of the time outdoors anyway, so not a big deal if it doesn't happen.

I have to say the pictures on the website look amazing and I am really looking forward to staying here.

You can park in my driveway, a couple of miles away - I'll only charge $16!

Most W's have some sort of stuffed thing on the bed. It was a croc or alligator. It was cute in a South Florida kind of way!

The gator normally holds the TV remote in its mouth.

It's even so cute, that my girlfriend insists we take the 45$ gator home whenever we stay there ...

parking-

I was there for 5 days a couple weeks ago, a buddy of mine was staying at a smaller hotel a couple of blocks away. The manager let me park my car there for $5/night gigisresort.com 954-463-4827.

3 months later since my problematic stay and long letter and still no response from the GM. Indicative of how this property is run imo.

Question for those who know the area.

I don't have a car while I am here. Where can i grab some cheap eats (lunch) within walking distance.

IIRC, that is a handicapped accessible room. I dont like that this room is directly above the pool and you can hear every damn sound.

Yeah it is above the pool (and handicap accessible), but i can't hear a thing when inside the room. I don't find this room to be obviously handicap accessible as some other rooms i have stayed in. For example their is a normal shower head and not the crap-tastic adjust able ones. Would a suite like this be nicer on a high floor, yeah probably but i wouldn't turn this one down.

Over the weekend, while the pool party is taking place, it's annoying! Borderline maddening.
