A "Fabulous Suite" doesn't exist. You are referring to a Fantastic Suite.

The basic suite, Fantastic I guess, is the Plat upgrade pool suite, but W Hong Kong tends to be willing to do Plat upgrades to the next category, especially for returning guests IME.

Agreed. As is typical of many Asian properties, they go above and beyond to show appreciation of their Plt guests. I believe my last stay was in a Marvelous suite overlooking the harbor. Really a beautiful suite

I was upgraded to a Marvelous Suite on my first stay from a Corner Roon. Initially upgrades to the lowest suite a few weeks out, then further upgraded within 48 hours. The property also performed in room check in.

That's nice although if you booked a corner room, IIRC it's the highest category room under their standard suite, so you were already paying for more than a standard room.

That doesn't discount the higher suite upgrade without SNAs.

Point is I generally find W service lacking but this property bucks the trend.

Of course. I'm just pointing out that if the hotel were going to upgrade some people above the standard suite, the fact that you had booked the corner room originally would be a sensible reason to pick you for the additional upgrade.

This is my favourite W, I have only ever been given a Marvellous Suite as an upgrade from base room here.

we were at the W HKG two years ago and the area immediately surrounding the hotel was under construction. it was quite an eyesore.

just curious to know if this has been completed and if so, how it looks.

W Hong Kong

Hi, I'm going to be booking W Hong Kong for 2 nights in April but it never seems to go on sale. Am I missing something or a way to get a discount? Thanks for your help. :D

the property is incredibly in demand. not much you can do- points are always an option, but if anything, this property will only continue to go up in price, barring a global economic downturn.

It is a fabulous property. I stayed a few months back and thought it was worth the room rate.

If you don't like the cash price, book with points!

Does this property have any evening happy hour reception for plats? My wife and I will be visiting HK our first time for a couple of weeks. TIA.

Not that I noticed.
