Is the parlor basically the same size of a second standard bedroom but configured with a sofa and table/parlor furniture?
How long ago have the club rooms in the north tower been refurbished and what standard in terms of furnishings, bed, decor, TV etc are they relative to top notch current major domestic Sheraton city options?

Ive had a (club I think) one bedroom suite here on all of my most recent stays. The bedroom is a little small but reasonable, with swinging doors that close off the fairly spacious living room. I normally dont close off the bedroom unless the air con is better in the bedroom. The bath is fine, just off the entry way as you walk into the suite living room.
Its a pretty decent suite...but I personally would never waste any SNAs for a suite at a Sheraton. If youre about to lose your SNAs, though, thats a different story.

This was a river view suite. Id say it was comparable in size to two standard rooms, especially with the spacious living room and desk area in the end niche. Only one decently sized bathroom. For a Sheraton, Id say its a decent size for a proper suite.

They're currently affected by the strike.... no restaurant, lounge, bar, or pretty much any other service. Rooms not cleaned every day, and you need to cross an obnoxious picket line and then get challenged by security in order to enter the building. Also, they didn't recognize my platinum status or even see it on the reservation. Great experience for $400 a night getting the lowest category room.

Titanium Breakfast Issue At Sheraton Boston Hotel (Resolved)
I thought I'd share my experience with the whole elite breakfast thing going wrong. So I stayed at the Sheraton Boston Hotel over the long holiday weekend. I'm a Titanium and I also booked AAA rate which included breakfast. During checkin, I reminded the front desk agent that my rate included breakfast and that also I'm Titanium and wanted the breakfast benefits. There were 3 of us. I asked for vouchers for "3" people since I'm entitled to it. The agent goes to the back office and comes back with 3 vouchers, one for each day along with a "My manager says we don't normally do this, but she is approving it as a once time courtesy." I tried not to roll my eyes, accepted and went on my way.
Fast forward to the next morning, I hand in the single voucher which clearly shows "3" on it to the waitress and now she gives me grief because the manager didn't put "3" on the correct spot. At this point, I've had enough and told her to call the front desk and figure it out yourself. The waitress comes back with some paperwork saying something that I really could not understand very well. English wasn't her first language and all I can make out was Titanium and just to sign the check.
Pretty annoyed at this point, after retrieving the remaining 2 vouchers from my room, I went down to the front desk to have the vouchers corrected and also make sure I wasn't getting charged for any of the breakfast. I was met by an agent to whom I explained the whole situation from the day before and just recently during breakfast, and after checking my room number in the computer, she profusely apologized for the whole situation because the agent the day before hadn't given me the Titanium Breakfast vouchers along with the AAA voucher.
In the end, the agent furiously stormed out to the restaurant with the Titanium voucher to have a word with the restaurant staff and also promised to have a word with the manager who relayed the snarky remark the day before along with more apology.
I can't believe this is still happening at big and busy properties such as the Boston Sheraton but at the same time, after reviewing the terms and conditions for the Bonvoy program, I pretty sure I've been screwed out of points at other Sheraton properties since breakfast was at the lounge and not at the restaurant. I wasn't given an option.
The bottom vouchers are the ones I were given along with the "message from the manager" and the top one is the Titanium vouchers that I wasn't given originally.

Staying here this week and got a Junior Suite as a Plat, first non-Suite Night upgrade I've had in a long time. 17th floor overlooking the Charles, Back Bay and Fenway! I really like this hotel and it's connected to the Pru Center and Copley so you can get around indoors quite a bit.
I think the Lounge is pretty good. 29th floor with great views. Breakfast selection is Continental plus Quiche plus a fantastic selection of fruit (Strawberries, Melon, Pineapple, lots of Raspberries). Evening is great cheese plates, couple of hot hors d'oeuvres and dessert tarts. Friendly staff as well.
It's a bit of a pain if you're not staying on the 29th (or 26th and above) and some of the elevators don't go all the way up. If you're on 26 and above there are "private" elevators that only serve 26-29.
I also like the Westin Copley and the new lounge there should be interesting, but the Sheraton is very good.

It was sold on Feb 4, looks like the new owners may reflag it or convert it to student dorms:

Just checked into the Sheraton Boston and have had a pretty good experience overall - here are the observations:
1. check-in was smooth, although we waited in the separate Elite line, there was no designated Elite agent, and someone was taken from the general line before us, so we needed to proactively step out in front to get an agent
2. we were checking in early, and no problem doing so. The booking was a part of a large meeting block, but our request for a king bed was honored, and the check-in agent offered to upgrade us to an executive suite with a king bed without even being asked, although this could have been related to what rooms were available at the time - but I will give him the benefit of the doubt that his intention was to offer an upgrade
3. asked about the lounge, but was told the lounge is closed
4. asked about breakfast, but he seemed surprised we didn't want the points - so he reversed the points and gave us coupons for the restaurant - continental buffet, or full buffet for $7 - however, when I visited the buffet this morning, I figured out why he assumed we wanted the points. The service was great, but the food itself was virtually tasteless, whether it was scrambled eggs or french toast, even the smoked salmon had no taste
5. late check out was offered and accepted for our stay
A good check in experience given the various descriptions of squabbling with staff at other hotels to get basic amenities honored.
Had one incident with the room door lock failing, but it was resolved by security and maintenance pretty quickly.
The room decor itself was somewhat dated and the tub surface was damaged and peeling, but the river and MIT views from the entire length of the room were breathtaking and we didn't much care about any other issues.
So, all in all, a good stay and positive experience. Access is pretty straightforward, Boylston is a short walk up the street, Prudential Center and the convention center are connected at the 2nd floor, and the $3 bus to the airport is a 10 minute walk through Prudential Center and down to the street level.
