Plus, it's a cool look. Weird that they commissioned a new design for a card that's not going to be offered to anyone...

*We do not know if it will still be possible to obtain this card by downgrading from the $450 version.

This question should belong here, rather than at Chase or AmEx fora.
My understanding is current personal SPG AmEx, if you receive bonus now, you'll not be able to get sign on bonus for within next 24 months.
This is fine, but will I have to cancel my soon extinct Bonvoy AmEx card in order to sign up for Bonvoy Boundless?
Ideally I would like to keep both, however if I have to cancel one first then I'd rather not chance it.

Under the current rules you are eligible to apply for Chase Premier Plus if you hold the American Express SPG card, but not to receive a new account bonus.

When do 15 bonus nights for SPG Amex (and other cards) post
I have both the SPG Amex & Chase Marriotts Rewards Plus cards. My understanding is I get 15 bonus nights for having either card (no stacking). When should these nights be applied? I just paid my annual fee for the SPG in January card after my first anniversary (which may have been in December, with the fee delayed until end of billing cycle). I don't see any bonus nights applied yet, and I'm not sure why. Any help?

I read somewhere that it will be end of February/beginning of March. I too, am patiently waiting for those nights to post. How I miss SPG that always promptly posted the bonus nights at the beginning of the year.

Apologies if this has been answered, but will current card holders be receiving a replacement “Bonvoy” Amex card at some point? When exactly? And is that the card with the redesigned appearance?
If the above is the case, shouldn’t this thread be renamed Bonvoy American Express?

The AMEX app already reflects the new card design.

Just got in on the Starwood Amex, but unsure of one thing
Apologies for being a newbie but I have looked all over for this answer before posting.
I just got the Starwood Amex the day before they stopped offering it. I was thinking that I was getting the good deal of 75k points that could then be redeemed at Starwood's rates. But now with the change, what used to be 12k points for Starwood (Category 5) is 35k points for Marriott, right? So, am I stupid or did those Starwood rooms just become 3x more expensive to book with points? Were you previously able to transfer 12k Starwood points to Marriott and get 36k points for that? And I assume there's no way to do that now?

All SPG account points were converted to MR points in August. That's not to say all partner offers were updated then as well.

AmEx never offered a 75,000 starpoint bonus. Typical bonus was 25,000 point with an occasional promotion to 35,000.

I'm pretty sure I saw that all cardholders would be getting new cards soon. The expiration date on my card is four years away.
ETA: Looks like I saw it in post #3687 of this thread, and I saw a blog post indicating it would happen in March.
