Just met w/ some of the Bristol staff here in Vegas today at Travel Week. I must say: some of the most impressive LC staff I've met all week. Been to VIE many times, and I can say for sure: you're in good hands with the Bristol.

Frankly I had mixed experiences with the Bristol staff earlier this summer. Some were very good while others seemed to be trying to see what they could get away with.

Interesting.

I have had very good experiences here over the years and consistently above expectations.

I will be going in Vienna in January 2015. As a SPG Platinum, which of the 3 hotels has a Club Lounge (including breakfast)? And is there a happy hour ?

Parking?

I will be spending two or three nights in Vienna in late March 2015. As i will be driving, i was wondering if any of the three Starwood properties there has a parking? Or do i just use a nearby one, or street parking?

Any help and suggestions will be appreciated

I would expect each of these properties to have valet parking. It will be expensive.

Have you looked for this information on the hotels' websites?

Could not find anything on the hotels websites unfortunately, that is why i thought if someone has any previous experience. I have stayed in all three at different times in the past, but never by car, so did not pay attention!

I was not impressed with the Le Meridien at all, although the location was fantastic, as are the other SPG props here. Wouldn't budge for a suite even though open, blood stains on pillow with just a shrug when mentioned to front desk. Took the points option as I believed the breakfast was just a really basic continental.

One Plus was the Concierge, who phoned for an hour and worked out my ride situation to Bratislava that wasn't even booked through the hotel (wrong car came from the agency I booked).

Only used it at the Imperial, which used to charge a little bit less than the current amount of €35 (which is very reasonable for such a property in this neighborhood)

Street parking is certainly an option in Vienna, but under the the bottom line, you will not save too much, same with parking garages. I assume you have a rental car, so depending on the model, keeping it someplace safe should make this is a no brainer.

Roughly ten years ago, the LM Vienna was a pretty hot place to go to in Vienna, especially the bar was a hot spot. Since then, it is slowing fading away and becoming just another chain hotel with a certain focus on design, still superior to other LM locations in Europe, but nothing really special anymore.

Trying to choose one between The Guesthouse and Hotel Bristol for a 2-night stay in mid October.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

p.s. The Guesthouse is ranked as no.2 hotel in Vienna according to Tripadvisor, higher than Park Hyatt which is ranked as no.3.

Can't speak for the Bristol, but stayed at the Guesthouse for one night in August and loved every minute of that stay. Got upgraded from a Courtyard View Room to an Opera House View Room [something that Design Hotels aren't expected to do]; gorgeous modern furnishings, four full bottles of complimentary wine that get restocked everyday and that you can bring down to the hotel's excellent restaurant, central location, wonderful service all around and a boutique atmosphere you can't get in any hotel bigger than the thirty-odd rooms here. Can't recommend it highly enough.
