I get it, yes the app is more convenient but acting like "making change" is some insanely onerous task is really ridiculous.
And yes, people carry less cash now, that has changed, but it's actually easier to get cash now from the proliferation of ATMs (I no longer need to write a check or go into a branch and see a human), and needing to break large bill isn't a new conundrum.

oh come on. you can get small bills basically everywhere. Any bartender, front desk, any retail cashier.

Just because an ATM is everywhere doesn’t mean it makes sense to use it all the time. If you find it easy to use cash, great. But no need to call other people’s decision ridiculous.

"not tipping" isn't encouraging businesses to pay people more. If you don't want to pay for the service you're consuming, ok, that's a choice, but don't act like it's some sort of strategy to drag humanity to a better place.

ok, sure, if you insist on only getting the exact amount of money you need right at this immediate time, yes, then it would be expensive.
if you are travelling and know that you might need some cash at various points you could do this thing called "thinking ahead" and actually get more than a fiver out in one go.
or you could just make incredibly eye-rolling disingeneous posts like this, we all know you aren't this dumb, why would you act like this???

Thread paused. Seems like one or two posters still haven’t got the “quit the off-topic, aggressively argumentative posts about tipping culture” message.
