Wall art
Probably the wrong place and out of scope for this forum but would anyone know where I can find out what this wall art is from a recent stay in a Renaissance property? Contacted the hotel but they didn’t know. Thank you

The W Nashville has some awesome pieces they have above beds and doing some research it was a run done specifically for the hotel. It wouldn't surprise me if it was similar for all properties. You could always inquire via email to the hotel and who knows maybe they have spares they can sell. Everything has a price.

Too much detail has been lost in the photo for me to make it out.

The poster looks like it came from the Renaissance at AMS airport.
A reverse image search on similar photo from hotel’s page on TripAdvisor pulls up an artist Ed Fairburn who’s done other portraits on street maps:
https://edfairburn.com/full-portfolio/
That’s my best guess…

Surfer painting - Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay
I too have been wondering about some hallway art at RC HMB. Looking for the artist, I asked guest services on a recent stay who reached out to Facilities team who procures the art onsite, but they came up blank as well.
My guess on the subject is Jeff Clark, legendary Mavericks surfer. However, don’t know the artist.
Any help/leads appreciated.
EDIT: Finally found out it's from photographer Dave Nelson's book "Dual Perspective" and the subject is surfer Nate Yeomans:

The company that owns the building or the GM that was at the property when it opened are more than likely the only two entities that would have that information.

I'm an art historian. Ntamayo did excellent detective work, and I agree with that ID. The small signature does seem to be Fairburn.
Such artwork is usually purchased by the design contractor who does all the furniture, carpet, etc. And they usually contract it out to some other person. So the hotel would have to access records from initial construction or most recent renovation (if the art was changed at that time). Then you'd have to contact THAT company, and get them to look in THEIR records.
I always tell art students, "Sign your damn work!" This is why. : )
Incidentally, about 20 years ago I checked into the Renaissance in DC and realized that the art behind the front desk was done by a close friend of mine!
