You can scan this forum and read scores and scores of complaints about Bonvoy hotels not providing status benefits that they are supposed to provide. It's pretty clear that Marriott has a serious problem living up to what it says it will provide in regards to elite perks.
Thus, it seems entirely reasonable to conclude that too few pathways to status is hardly the biggest problem with Bonvoy.
Said another way, more ways to achieve more status levels just means more opportunities for Marriott to fail to provide the benefits of status!

While that is indeed true, those of us who had the opportunity to qualify for lifetime Titanium Elite status snatched away, after a decade of striving and tens of thousands of dollars of spend, got grievously, brutally Bonv∘yed!

Why waste your time talking to an exec who doesn't care, or if he/she does, has no power to enforce change and accountability?
Let's be honest - Marriott does not and will never care again about staying guests and ensuring they receive benefits. It just won't happen.
