My favorite is how, whenever I email, the response inevitably refers to an upcoming stay, and asks "will you be celebrating a special occasion." As if that's the only reason they would ever contact the property and ensure I'm treated decently. Perhaps Marriott should amend the T&C to state that Ambassador benefits only apply if you're "celebrating a special occasion."

Then what's the point of publishing an email address for Ambassador services if they will ignore emails, even if the request is outside of what they do? Shouldn't they at least say they can't help with that?

And that's a pretty narrow list.

What happens after you reply Yes?

I'm hopelessly honest, so the discussion ends when I say, "no we're not."
You're starting to get the picture . . . .
Marriott might as well just cancel Ambassador. All they're doing by maintaining this fiction of "Ambassador Service" is pissing people off even more.

Soon to be ambassador after checking out of a 210+ day stay. Just squeaking by on the spend. I've never been so excited to be crossing into such an elite status. Thanks for boosting my spirits.

Joke
There was a time Ambasador was, not glorious, but quite capable with a personal touch. Now? Try getting someones name. So impersonal. Far from surprising us with wine and a note.
