During the recent upgrade to the iPhone app several and severe functionalities downgrades were implemented.
In short, there is no way (or it is so well hidden that I cannot find it) to see the actual rate on upcoming reservations, to see the rate rules, to cancel a reservation or to modify it.
It was bad before with too many clicks, but useless now.

Maybe I should buy an iPhone (I use Huawei) and use the new app - maybe it'll work right for me since I haven't been able to get my app to work properly since 2018. I still get different languages on my app

I hope this is a glitch. I refuse to use the Marriott site (regardless of any cash back portals)

If the embargo continues between the USA & China, American companies like Marriott wouldn't release an update for Huawei and apps wouldn't be downloadable through AppGallery.

Are you talking about the 7th July update? That is the last one I can see, and all these details are still there, including the option to cancel. As noted above, it does take an extra press to get to a second screen under Reservation Details.

Richmond Marriott= App 216.00, Website 190.00
Delta Hotel Richmond= App 186.00, Website 163.00
Residence Inn Richmond= App 240.00, Website 200.00
Courtyard Richmond= App 210.00, Website 175.00
I verified they were for basic rooms for members rate. It has been like this for a long time (months). I have sent emails and never received a response about it.

It always required the unnecessary extra press - but now it is not even there. You get to another screen that shows the reservation number and some generic information about the hotel - but that is that. You can see some screenshots above.

I refuse to book using the App because it is always much more $ per room to use it. Example, I just tried to book a room for Richmond, VA; here are the first four properties.
Richmond Marriott= App 216.00, Website 190.00
Delta Hotel Richmond= App 186.00, Website 163.00
Residence Inn Richmond= App 240.00, Website 200.00
Courtyard Richmond= App 210.00, Website 175.00

All functionality that you can't do is working for me.
Try deleting the Bonvoy app and re-installing ... maybe that will work.

This is the reason why I have replaced my old iPhone with a Samsung rather than Huawei. ( Reason: Needed a phone with dual-sim )

Did you book through Marriott? The error message says you need to cancel through the original channel that you booked, so for whatever reason it thinks you didnt book through Marriott? FWIW, my app updated 3 days ago still lets me cancel reservations.
