How will my Eligible Status Years for 2022 be applied to my Account and when?

If you maintained the same Elite status in 2022 that you started with in 2022 , your 2022 Eligible Status Year for your current status will be applied to your Account in January 2023.

If you achieved a higher Elite status during 2022, your 2022 Eligible Status Year for the new, higher tier was applied at the time of achievement.

If you did not meet the published criteria to renew your current status in 2022, your 2022 Eligible Status Year for your current status will be added in January 2023, and your Eligible Status Year for your new status will be added in March 2023 when your Elite status is updated.

===

When will my 2021 qualifying year of Elite status be applied to my Account so I can track my path to Lifetime Elite Status?

As part of our regular process, Members receive their qualifying year towards Lifetime Elite status in one of two ways:
  1. If you maintain the same Elite level that you started the year with, your Qualifying Year of Elite status will be applied to your Account in January of the following year. Please Note: In November 2021, when we extended the Elite status that Members earned in 2019 or 2020, Members received their 2021 Qualifying Year of Elite status.
  2. If you achieve a higher Elite level during the year than the previous year, your Qualifying Year for the new, higher level will be applied at the time of achievement. Please Note: If you achieved a higher Elite level during 2021, your 2021 qualifying year of Elite status, was applied at the time of achievement.

If you maintain the same Elite level for 2022, your 2022 year of Elite status will be applied to your Account in January 2023. If you achieve a higher Elite level during 2022, your 2022 year of tenure for the new, higher level will be applied at the time of achievement.

Examples:
  • A Member achieved Gold Elite in 2019 and enjoyed the status in 2020. They received their 2020 year of Gold Elite status in July 2020 when we extended their status. Due to status extensions, the Member received their 2021 year of tenure in November 2021 when they their status was extended to February 2023.
  • A Member achieved Platinum Elite in 2020 and enjoyed the status in 2021. They received their 2021 year of Platinum status in November 2021 when they their status was extended to February 2023.
  • A Gold Elite Member achieved Platinum Elite in April 2021; the Platinum year of Elite status for 2021 was applied upon achievement (in April 2021).

Or are you LTPP but not current PP Then yes the hotel knows the status well.
At some SPG properties, I only get Gold key card holders. I've never seen a Platinum Premier envelope before.

Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite

I’m currently a Lifetime Platinum Elite and achieved it this year under the legacy program and I’m trying to qualify for Lifetime Platinum Premier
Elite by the end of this year. I just noticed this on the website showing that LTP will transition to LTPP and be notified in January. Do I need to continue on my trek for LTPP or based on this will I automatically become LTPP in 2019?

NOTE: Members who reach 750 nights and 10 years at Platinum by December 31, 2018, will be grandfathered into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status (notified January 2019). In addition, members that achieve Marriott Rewards Lifetime Platinum under the legacy requirements by year end will also be grandfathered into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status. And don’t forget that we’ll combine Lifetime activity across both Rewards and SPG toward qualification when members combine accounts. Beginning in 2019, qualification into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status will not be available. See FAQs for details.

Are you MR LTP or SPG LTP? They're not the same.

Not sure. I qualified by combining some years of platinum under both programs to get 700 nights and 10 years platinum.

LTP, unless you have 750 nights.

Per the note: If you have over 750 LT nights and 10 years as Platinum when your accounts are combined then you will be LTPP after the sweep in January. Now, if you earned MR LTP under legacy rules with 750 nights and over 2M points regardless number of years, then yes, you will become MPG LTPP in January. Had you made MR LTP before the merger, then you would have become MPG LTPP after the merge without having to wait.

Lifetime PP, just under the wire...

Fingers crossed, may just slide into the lifetime platinum premier, in the final days before it is no longer available.

15yrs platinum, >1300 nights, 1,998,360 lifetime points... my MR CC should post enough points around 12/29 to get me over the 2MM threshold.

Woo-hoo!

at >10 years and >750 nights Marriott/SPG combined, i would think you get LTPP (or whatever they will call it) anyways.

And if hsh is really concerned, there's always the option to buy 2k points for USD25 before the end of the year. Just to make sure.

Congrats, but saying you got lifetime status "just under the wire" makes it sound like you are on your deathbed.

Wishing you many more years to enjoy the newly earned status!

Actually you made it with plenty of room to spare. All you need is over 750 combined nights and over 10 years of combined Platinum status. Points are only needed if you were going for legacy MR LT status and then it would be 750 LT MR nights and 2M MR points.

Regardless, congrats. Now just hope for the sweep to go smoothly. There is still plenty of time for MPG IT to mess things up.

Lifetime Plat Premier is "only" 750 nights and 10+ years Plat, so no points requirement (which is favorable to me since I'm pretty good at finding the lowest rate and often travel to mid-markets with full service Marriotts at like $89/night). So OP, you are not under any type of wire and will sail in easily. I, however, got in under the wire since I have no more planned stays this year although some family friends are coming to my hometown and will stay a night under my name to get me to 751.

I'd have purchased the 2,000 points already just to make sure and to get the LTPP status as well as current PP status before the end of the year.....or I'd have done a stay to get those points, which should be pretty easy with the right new (for you) brand. Having something post on December 29th would make me very nervous.
