At some SPG properties, I only get Gold key card holders. I've never seen a Platinum Premier envelope before.

Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite
I’m currently a Lifetime Platinum Elite and achieved it this year under the legacy program and I’m trying to qualify for Lifetime Platinum Premier
Elite by the end of this year. I just noticed this on the website showing that LTP will transition to LTPP and be notified in January. Do I need to continue on my trek for LTPP or based on this will I automatically become LTPP in 2019?
NOTE: Members who reach 750 nights and 10 years at Platinum by December 31, 2018, will be grandfathered into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status (notified January 2019). In addition, members that achieve Marriott Rewards Lifetime Platinum under the legacy requirements by year end will also be grandfathered into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status. And don’t forget that we’ll combine Lifetime activity across both Rewards and SPG toward qualification when members combine accounts. Beginning in 2019, qualification into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status will not be available. See FAQs for details.

Lifetime PP, just under the wire...
Fingers crossed, may just slide into the lifetime platinum premier, in the final days before it is no longer available.
15yrs platinum, >1300 nights, 1,998,360 lifetime points... my MR CC should post enough points around 12/29 to get me over the 2MM threshold.
Woo-hoo!

at >10 years and >750 nights Marriott/SPG combined, i would think you get LTPP (or whatever they will call it) anyways.

Regardless, congrats. Now just hope for the sweep to go smoothly. There is still plenty of time for MPG IT to mess things up.

Lifetime Plat Premier is "only" 750 nights and 10+ years Plat, so no points requirement (which is favorable to me since I'm pretty good at finding the lowest rate and often travel to mid-markets with full service Marriotts at like $89/night). So OP, you are not under any type of wire and will sail in easily. I, however, got in under the wire since I have no more planned stays this year although some family friends are coming to my hometown and will stay a night under my name to get me to 751.

I'd have purchased the 2,000 points already just to make sure and to get the LTPP status as well as current PP status before the end of the year.....or I'd have done a stay to get those points, which should be pretty easy with the right new (for you) brand. Having something post on December 29th would make me very nervous.
