To view your cumulative years of status at each level, log into your Marriott or SPG account and then visit https://www.marriott.com/rewards/myA...ightDetails.mi
Until you merge accounts, the summary will show only the stats for whichever legacy program account you’re logged into (and not your combined totals in the new program).
Why does my Marriott lifetime elite total show several years of Plat status? I was Gold in the past, but never earned Plat.
Confusingly, Marriott has changed the terminology for elite levels in the new program. In the past, Gold meant you had 50+ nights in one year; going forward, Gold is the 25-night level & members who stay 50+ nights are Plat.
As a result, all prior years at the old, harder-to-earn Gold level are treated as Plat in the new program. Here’s how Starwood Lurker explained things in the wiki (FAQ B4) at https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/star...tml#lifeheader:

Checked this morning and the app still shows 9 years for me. However, the website is showing 10 years now! I'll choose to believe the website....but in case the powers that be don't agree with me, I took a screenshot.
I read in a different FT Marriott thread that a poster was told the rollover for the extra year was Feb 8. I don't know if that means they are doing them in waves or if all of us are getting different answers based on who we are asking ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Update: The LTY count just updated in my app as well. I checked a few hours ago and it didn't change then.

No increase for me. Although I already had 1 2018 year from my SPG account prior to combining (and 79 nights on my Marriott account prior as well). Not sure if that confuses them.

Does anyone know how quickly the years used to post? Hit Plat this year in Feb and my years still have not updated.
Heck, last year didn't either, so I'm actually short 2 right now (which matters as next year will likely will be LTP for me)

Before the merger, I got legacy SPG LTP on my account a couple days after my 50th night or 25th stay (I'm not sure which came first and I was already over 500 nights) posted for my 10th Plat year. It took much longer to get the welcome kit with my metal card. On the legacy MR side, again my account showed LTP a few days after I got to two million points, with the 750 nights and 12 years MR membership already satisfied. IIRC MR never issued lifetime cards unless in earned status you fell below your lifetime status tier, so there was no welcome package.

So does that mean a year of LT status from 2019 will not be posted till 2020 or thereabouts?
I will send an email with details. Thanks.

any update for us who’ve reached 50+ nights on the separate accounts before combining them? If I understand it right, people who only combined later this year got 2 years towards lifetime.
Thanks,
Imre

Members can get two years Elite credit if criteria for each legacy program are fulfilled after combining accounts.

My elite years just ticked up by 1. Did this happen for anyone else?
Wanted to see if this was my missing year from the merger or my requal in 2019 already hit.
