I had a nice three night stay here recently. We split our trip with 3 nights here and then 2 nights at the JW Polanco.

I was upgraded in advance to a junior suite, very similar to the one pictured in EE's post #153 above, though on a lower floor. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but overall it's definitely feeling a bit dated and could use a refresh (especially noticeable going from here to the new rooms at the JW). That said, the Sheraton is a great value proposition - we got it for US$120/night, and given the location it's tough to ignore, especially if you are plat or above and have lounge access. Lounge breakfast was a very nice spread with made to order eggs, and we stopped by in the evenings for the free cerveza. The evening food options looked decent but we had other dinner plans in the city so didn't really eat much there.

Does anyone have a direct email address for the room/reservations manager at this property by chance?

I only have the following, but delivery failed (address couldn't be found) when I attempted to reach out through gmail: [email protected]

What the heck... I just called Marriott and received more incorrect contact information. They provided me with the concierge address which got bounced back right away. The hotel provided me with the initial email address via social media and that didn't work. Does this property not have any working email addresses?

Thanks so much, Carrie. I was actually able to get in touch with the hotel yesterday through their social media page again. They provided an alternate address that worked and I was able to get all of my questions and concerns addressed about our upcoming stay. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and based on our communication, I'm now really looking forward to staying at this property!! Thanks again for your offer to help!

I'm only staying at this property for night before heading off to RC for rest of my stay in CDMX (midnight arrival) but I'm kind of impressed with how proactive they are with upgrades.

I did not plan on asking for any upgrades as I'm checking out the day after (and I did not ask on chat) and over time they upgraded me to a corner suite (Business Deluxe King -> Club Level Business King -> Corner Suite). Kinda wish I booked at least two nights as this suite feels wasted on us.

Spent a night here before settling into RC CDMX. I arrived at the property very very late (3:30am) due to insane flight delay. I notified the property ahead of time and there was staff ready to handle luggage and take care of check-in without a hiccup. I found it amusing that this property had me sign a confirmation sheet claiming that I was given my titanium benefits option during check-in.

As previously mentioned I was proactively given a corner suite which was essentially two rooms connected together (I was given 922 and 923) and one of the rooms would be just a living room setup. While I’m not a big fan of Sheraton hard product this was spacious and very roomy, and the bed was comfy as well. The shower however was god awful with very weak water pressure and the water got just warm enough to be able to shower without agony. Very big red flag. Hopefully this was unique to this room and not a norm!

while I wasn’t able to enjoy the happy hour in the lounge I was at least able to have breakfast in the lounge. While not the most expansive option for a Sheraton (I think the Lisbon location takes the cake for that one) but given the abysmal brekkie I recently had at Sheraton Toronto, the options here were great. Aside from the staple western items they also had Mexican options such as mole chicken, some tortilla roll thing that was essentially a spring roll, fried beans and fried tortillas. The fruits were great as well. Also fantastic lounge staff!

the staff working this property has been the highlight of my short stay. While I appreciate the location and price proposition of this property, the sad state of the shower has me a bit shook to consider coming back here again. But we’ll see.

I've stayed here quite a number of times and the water pressure has amongst the best of anywhere I've ever been, as recently as December 2023. Sometimes painfully so! I hope there weren't complaints. The tub usually gets a few inches of water during a shower, the pressure is so good!

ya unfortunately wasn’t the case: it was one of the weakest shower heads I’ve experienced in a long time. I should’ve tested the other shower upon seeing the pressure but I didn’t want to bother the housekeeping on cleaning both washrooms. But that’s good to hear!

Quick review, mostly confirming what others have stated previously:
  • Good elite recognition, although I only got a tiny upgrade during my stay (they were pretty booked up and I checked in very late)
  • Nice hard product. A little dated, but still very nice overall.
  • Great towels, great water pressure.
  • Lounge options are varied and decent, although the quality doesn't match what you can get if you walk out the front door.
  • Gym is very good for a hotel.
  • Great overall value and I would definitely stay here again if I don't stay in one of the neighborhoods (Roma, etc.)
