Is it normal for server to ask for tip at Sheraton Club Lounges?

I've noticed that it really depends on the property. I've also noticed that this has only occurred at US-based SPG properties I've frequented in the past, and can't recall any in Canada but I'm sure there are some (FWIW, I've stayed at hundreds of properties worldwide). Of course, I'm not including societies where tipping is not expected or frowned upon.

Basically as others have noted, I'll tip if I feel like it is deserved.

Sometimes a tip jar is there but the lounge attendants do literally nothing other than clear your table of used plates/cutlery after you're done eating (*golf clap*).

Ask for a tip is very rude. In Europe. But then the tipping culture in America is completely something else and in my opinion messed up.
