In my booking I asked them if a rollaway bed could be arranged and received a response stating that it can be arranged depending on availability.

When I checked my reservation now on marriott.com I see that a FJ$375 (USD$200) charge has been added to the room. FJ$300 for rollaway bed fee and FJ$75 for government fees and charges.

Have any of you been charged with such a rollaway bed fee? I just stayed in Sheraton Stockholm where the reception kindly arranged a rollaway without any extra charges, so this came as a surprise.
I realise this is an old thread, but I've just been quoted FJD$138VIP (ie inclusive of tax) per night for a rollaway - so over $300 USD for a five night stay, which seems egregious (all other Bonvoy properties in Fiji have standard redemptions with 2 queens)

Has anyone had any success getting this waived - it's for a 3 year old so I could always bring a travel cot if need be.

We stayed 5 days in early July. We received the room we booked on a points +cash upgrade, island view, king, with plunge pool on the adults only side.

As the resort was completely full of Aus/Nz families on school holidays the adult only area was much appreciated.

We arrived on the early flight from LAX and then took a helicopter so were there around 9 am. Unfortunately they were fully booked, so until the room's occupants cleared to leave on the ferry and the room was cleaned we were out of luck.

We were offered breakfast and later in the day complimentary lunch and drinks while we waited. The room manager checked in with us twice and the hotel GM did as well. (The GM has only been there 10 months and spoke with us multiple times thoughout our stay, he is omni present and responds very promptly to issues)

We got in to our room around 3 pm. If you come in/out on the ferry be aware that check in and out will be a process. They just don't have that many agents and everyone arrives and departs at exaclty the same time every day.

Laundry facilities are free, but do take some stalking to find empty.

Watersports were very limited by the tide situation while we were there, generally only a few hours a day. They had no sailboats (they said they normally have 1 but it was out for repairs). The low tide was very, very low, to the point they had to take everyone on carts to the other resort on the island as the tenders couldn't go in and out to the ferry.

Food service was spotty and the options felt very limiting after 5 nights, more would be a challenging. The Indian restarant operates all nights but T and F when the "fijian" buffet runs. The Indian restarant was by far the best option in terms of quality. The main restaurant had either a limited menu or a buffet depending on the night, and we were underwhelmed.

Breakfast was a pretty standard buffet with made to order omelettes. One of the two espresso machines was broken the whole time we were there and the line for Flat Whites stretched to 5 or 6 people often.

Housekeeping was great, fresh towels and flowers every day, in and out without us even knowing when.

Friday night we recevied an invite to the manager's reception. About 10 guests were there. Drinks and a few appetizers were served. Seemed like maybe tittanium and ambassadors were invited.

Arrival goodies.

View from room.

Dinner was meh, but the view was great.

Take the short walk up to the helicopter pad after dark on a clear night. I have never seen so many stars from anywhere.

Anybody heading to Sheraton Tokoriki in the next days?

According to Reddit they closed the hotel and changed all resevations without information to Sheraton Denarau. Which is a joke as the beach/ water on Denarau is subpar and many people actively chose a hotel on the islands.

Our check-in date is mid of May and unfortunately no feedback from the Hotel so far...very disappointed with their communication style (e.g. non-existent).

I wrote them, their response was that they confirmed my reservation and plan to reopen 1st of May. However, the booking dates are still greyed out.

The communication is very bad. I am coming from Europe and am still not 100% certain that I will have a hotel in Fiji.

There are now multiple new comment of people whose reservations have been cancelled last minute and their booking transfered to mainland Sheraton, which has zero to do with paradise island holidays.

This is the worst experience I had as a platinum bonvoy member in all my years.
