Fairfield Inn & Suites opening in Scottsbluff Nebraska January 2016.

The new Fairfield Inn & Suites has an extensive view of both Western Nebraska Community College and the National Monument. The 85 room hotel will have 24 suites, 4 rooms with balconies and spacious long term family suites.

Marina del Rey CA is going to get a dual-branded hotel. Just approved by LA County commissioners. Article didn't say when it will open, but my guess would be end of 2016.

Courtyard opens in Shippensburg PA.

Located near the Shippensburg University Conference Center at 503 Newburg Road, the hotel is four stories high with 110 rooms, including five suites.

Walsh said hotel features include a small library with books on local history, free wireless throughout the building, large patio with fire pit and grill, business center, indoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, guest laundry and meeting room that can accommodate groups of up to about 100 people with a retractable wall and whiteboard screen.

There is also an upgraded bar with eight beers on tap – an unusual Courtyard feature that he said was included to accommodate guests of the university and local companies.

Shippensburg University’s blue-and-red color theme is also evident throughout the building – from the carpet to decorative pillows in the lobby – and guests will find photos of the university as well as a copy of the school’s alma mater hanging on the walls.

Townplace Suites to open in Commerce Township Michigan Oct 9th.

Located at 199 Loop Road, the TownePlace Suites Detroit Commerce. Located 30 minutes from downtown Detroit, the hotel offers guests convenient access to Twelve Oaks Mall, the Detroit Zoo and Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk.

Probably a couple of years out yet, but noticed this in news:

"We confirm that we are acquiring a property in Mactan (Philippines) and are in discussions with Marriott for a possible Autograph Collection resort in that property,”

The new Delta brand makes its debut in the US later this year when the Delta Lake Buena Vista hotel opens in December. This property is the old Orlando Vista Hotel that was renovated by Nik Patel and which was slated to open as a Crowne Plaza before Patel's legal trouble began.

Altoona PA, brand spanking new TPS and FI will open in the second half of 2016. There was a delay to get zoning for an additional level for the property. This will be a single property with both brands under one roof. Rumor is this will be a very large property. It will be in the old Holiday Inn (circa '60s)/Quality Inn (circa '90s) location, next to the VA, across from the old Mason's/David Weiss/Value City shopping center, on Plank Rd. The building formerly on the property has been razed. This is a ground up new building.

Marriott Downtown Syracuse. The hotel is undergoing a $57 million dollar renovation & due to re-open mid 2016. (property formerly Hotel Syracuse).

Kansas City. "261-room hotel complex rising at the corner of 16th and Main streets. The 190,000-square-foot, 10-story building will contain a Courtyard Marriott and a Residence Inn hotel and 5,000 square feet of retail. It is expected to open in March 2016."

"ITHACA, N.Y. — The long-planned Marriott hotel currently under construction in downtown Ithaca is on track to open next summer at 120 South Aurora St.

The 159-room hotel will be 11 stories tall and feature an indoor/outdoor specialty restaurant and bar, a fitness center, and 2,600 square feet of meeting space. Eight of the hotel’s rooms will be suites.

The Ithaca Marriott is located along the eastern edge of the Ithaca Commons, a two-block pedestrian mall built in 1974 that serves as the center of the area’s civic life. The hotel is less than a mile from the Cornell University campus."

Charlotte NC getting a Springhill Suites.

"Uptown’s newest hotel is underway, with workers and signage on-site for a Springhill Suites by Marriott across from Time Warner Cable Arena. The hotel will be built on East Sixth Street, on a vacant site next to the light rail line. Opening is targeted for December 2016, giving the project a tight timeline."

Edinburg TX to get a Townplace Suites, probably opening in 2016. at the corner of Professional Drive and Trenton Road. Marriott TownePlace Suites will be near the bustling Shoppes at Rio Grande.

TownePlace Suites newest prototype dubbed Generation 4.0. Gen 4.0 is geared toward next- generation travelers featuring a more linear exterior look, a larger lobby, as well as newly designed bedrooms and kitchens.
