The newly constructed Residence Inn Little Rock Downtown opened on Friday! So in one month we've gone from just a CY downtown to a FS, RI, and CY in downtown LIT! Lots of Marriott-branded options now for visitors!

UPDATE in mid-July:

Now Marriott.com is accepting reservations for many (but not all?) nights in early August.

The development pipeline for Courtyard by Marriott properties in Mexico includes the 130-room Courtyard by Marriott Hermosillo, slated to open its doors in 2014; the 120-room Courtyard by Marriott Queretaro in 2015; and the 130-room Courtyard by Marriott Los Cabos in 2015.

Marriott International, Inc. has announced plans to open the 250-room Moscow Marriott Hotel Crocus City in Russia under a management agreement with CJSC Crocus International. The hotel is expected to open in 2016.

The Moscow Marriott Hotel Crocus City will be located within a new shopping and residential complex in Crocus City, a satellite city of Moscow and well-known business district. Russia's biggest trade fair and exhibition venue, Crocus Expo, will be a few minutes' walk from the hotel together with a luxury shopping mall, concert hall and multitude of restaurants and bars. Crocus City is very well connected with a private metro station, marina on the Moskva River and heliport.

I saw an announcement today that a new Courtyard is opening in Rookwood (Norwood area) just outside of Cincinnati. This is pretty convenient to downtown without the high cost of parking. There is a new Seasons 52 and several other restaurants nearby. Although I am not a Courtyard fan, I would consider this location in addition to the new Briarcliff KC property. Both are closer to downtown area without the high cost and hastles of a downtown hotel.

Now, if they will only get rid of the Bistro and offer complimentary coffee the brand will return to my consideration set.
