Positives
-hotel kindly allowed rebooking from last year during the ash clouds
-friendly staff
-bar prices reasonable
Negatives
-Suite upgrade was not a suite, seemed like space for two rooms combined with a lot of empty voids.
-poor housekeeping standards and mini bar restocking
-food awful across the board, both in room and breakfast, we were confronted and challenged by the F&B manager after leaving low review scores midway through the booking which left a sour taste
-mosquito protection insufficient, no screens on doors and windows allowing mosquitos into rooms. Asked for bug zapper and given a citronella fragrance and bug spray. My partner became ill part way through from a large mosquito bite so ensure you use DEET repellant at all times (which is a good idea any where in Bali really)
-more SPG recognition needed to offset the poor standard of the property (eg beach sun loungers or cocktail hour like Le Meridien Bali)
Overal not a premium feel to the resort we went next door to the intercontinental a couple of times for more sun and atmosphere, the Le Meridien feels like a cheap condo complex by comparison.

Really don't know what to make of this property.
I really like the hardware of the hotel. Rooms and facilities are nice in the known Le Meridien style and the staff is very friendly.
Unfortunately there are many things that aren't comparing very well to the other SPG hotels in Bali. Internet was super weak on all three networks to the point of which it was impossible to load a website that was hosted outside Indonesia.
The room (Aqua Suite) has neither a hair dryer or an iron/ironing board. It is 'on request' only and things like these just baffle me. How can a 4* Hotel not have a hair dryer in the room??
Breakfast must be the most boring I have seen at any Le Meridien yet. Uninspiring and generally blant. The hotel doesn't have any dedicated beach spot, no even when walking the short distance accross the street. Seems like the space is owned by the restaurants and bars there.
s 'on request' only and things like these just baffle me. How can a 4* Hotel not have a hair dryer in the room. It took us 10 minutes of frantic search until we called and got this info. By the time the device arrived the hair was dry and clammy again. Good start in the day with the lady!
Breakfast must be the most boring I have seen at any Le Meridien yet. Uninspiring and generally blant. The hotel doesn't have any dedicated beach spot, not even when walking the short distance across the street.
We had a great dinner complete with lobster for 2 and only paid 550,000 IDR right by the beach where an array of seafood restaurants are waiting for you. That was fantastic. For something like this you'd pay 4 times as much in Nusa Dua to one of the hotels there.
PS: I was offered an upgrade to a villa or penthouse for only 100$ (usually 150$) or 120$ with 2 Massages. Would have taken that in a heartbeat but my current sunburn is so bad that I couldn't take advantage of either the massage, jacuzzi or private pool. Otherwise it's a fantastic deal, though I found the villa to be a bit small. The penthouse has a sunroof over the pool which might be a bit better. Ask for that!

Just completed a 3 night stay here. Upgraded to an Aqua Suite. Strange name since we were on 3rd floor, so no lagoon access. The hotel was great value for the price paid. Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast buffet was OK, but not awesome like many Asian hotels (Laguna Resort excelled here). Made to order eggs, and various rice, noodle, vegetable dishes.
Lots of happy hours. 14:00-16:00 at pool bar, 18:00-20:00 at rooftop bar and 17:30-23:00 at sports bar. Selected drinks were buy one, get one free. Mojitos were awesome (2 for 115,000 IDR plus tax). Bintang beer was 35,000 IDR (no BOGO).
However, as mentioned by other posters, beach was not good there. Plus you have to cross parking lot and go through a restaurant to get to the beach.
My biggest gripe with the hotel, and the reason I would never return is the smoke that was constantly blowing through the hotel. Along the beach are ~20 seafood restaurants side by side, all with coconut fired ovens. When the wind is blowing from the ocean (which is most of the time), the hotel pool area, lobby and rooftop bar are filled with visible smoke and the smell never goes away. All my clothes smell like wood smoke. I love cottaging and campfires and know the smell well, but it's not what I want when I'm going to a beach resort!
BTW, the rooftop bar is aptly name Smoqee Lounge! Here's a picture I took from the rooftop bar at sunset.

the hotel has rates :
Le Meridien Spa Break: Daily Buffet Breakfast And 1 Spa Treatment Per Person, Per Day, 2 Hour Maximum
i wonder if on a one night stay counts as 2 days ? so it should include 2x2 2hours treaments or am i wrong ?

Smoke: you can only "enjoy" the smoke when the wind is blows toward the hotel. Most of my stays have been without smoke.
Having stayed several times on the front Aqua suite, I can confirm that the the smoke is quite unpleasant when it comes to the hotel.
Beach: if you walk on the right side, you can enjoy the beautiful beach in front of the InterContinental, the next door hotel.
Parking lot: you are stuck with it. Always in front of the hotel.
No surcharge for "Parking view" rooms, though.

The view from my room was of the pool area. I think almost all the rooms look out over the pool. But of course, the view was obscured by the incessant smoke. The picture above was taken from the rooftop bar.

Thinking about staying there for 2-3 nights as I see really good rates mid December. Can someone share a recent experience with the hotel, breakfast quality and Platinum treatment? Would be very welcomed. I'm going to book Aqua suite. What are the odds to get upgraded to a Penthouse suite with a private pool?

We have been here 6 years ago for 2 nights
except for an issue of double charge on my credit card (I’ve been given back the amount by cash after discovered it ...) it’s a nice hotel but without anything concerning to Bali.
Jimbaran itself is probably the worst place in Bali and I can’t find any reason to stay in a hotel like this, considering also the bad sea in front of it.

Dav77, thanks for chiming in.
Can't imagine it being worse than Kuta and its beach/water/swimming conditions =). I mean... in general you don't come to Bali for good swimming.
Anyways I canceled my trip so wouldn't report first hand. I've got a very positive impression of a hotel though. I booked an entry level Aqua suite for $110+ per night. I added a note that would appreciate a room with a private pool. The hotel proactively upgraded my reservation to their best 3000 sq ft Sky Villa with a terrace and plunge pool 10 days prior to my arrival. I didn't contact the property, just added a note while making a reservation. That is very impressive treatment of a lowly Platinum member I am.

yes, you don’t come to Bali for good swimming, for this reason I think Jimbaran needs to be avoided at all ...unless you don’t like to drink beer at the pool all the day (like most of the hotel guests do)
