Received my order today. Order placed on 11/24. The charge just went through my CC and it's categorized as Purchase.

And to my earlier post, I wasn't complaining about newbs not knowing things or not being able to teach us something. I was just meaning that with the influx of new people this deal would get harder and harder to do since it'll most likely cause more banks to be unwilling to accept coins.
Best of luck to everyone, Newbs and old!

A branch that accepts CC payments will work willing or not, but they sure can make it unpleasant.

Excuse me for my ignorance but aren't we just talking about finding a branch that will accept large amounts of dollar coins? How does accepts credit card payments for your card apply here?

For deposits, they don't have to take the coins. For payment of a debt, it is legal tender.

on again
the FAQ is says:
The purchase of $1 coins under the Circulating $1 Coin Direct Ship Program is a cash equivalent or cash-like transaction. Ordinarily, such purchases are not eligible for credit card rewards, cash-back, cash rebate, and similar programs. Check with your card issuer for its terms and conditions.
how would they prevent that??
