Not asking for a handout. :) Just wanted to know if someone's already done it. I think reporting success or failure with different tactics is the point of most of the MS threads...

Help Loading USB Buxx Please

After receiving USB Buxx cards for my three teens, I loaded $500 each yesterday with my Arrivals card. This am I loaded another $500 to one of the cards with the same cc. However, when I tried to load the others I got an error message that there was an issue with the loading card. I checked it and called Barclays who said there was no issue on its end. Any thoughts? I may have to call the Amex Gift Card help line for assistance. :p

I did my entire 3k minimum spend for CITI AA card using a US Bank Buxx card. No cash advance fee and counted as min spend and miles.

Weird, I used the same card to load 1000 onto a USB card late Dec but haven't seen the miles in my AA account yet, the statement closed almost a month ago. It did code as a purchase.

It is not a CA. My friend just did it for $1k twice. It will show pending as a CA so if your limit is set to $0 obviously it won't work. In the end it posts as purchase.

Can you change CA limit online or do you have to call?

What about Chase British?

td go would not load with my citi AA Executive, they locked my accounts cause I tried 3 different times with different values. My cash advance limit was set to 0. I called in and they wanted my statement, I dont have one yet so I was waiting till the first statement close. But yesterday my accounts were unlocked and I could use the cards again.

I was sucessfull loading a USB visabuxx card with citi AA Executive.

You could send a secure message, they'll respond within a few hours if it's a weekday.

Are 3 teens under the same parent account? If so, does each teen have its OWN $500 load limit. I thought it was a limit applied to the entire parent account. Thanks.

There are limits per particular credit cards...who knew?!

All 3 are under the same account. Each teen has his/her own limit.

Apparently there are weekly and monthly limits to the the number of times - not amounts - that the same credit card can be used for any parent's account. I've received different information regarding those limits, but I was able to load when I used a different credit card. It's getting hard to keep up with all the different written, and unwritten, rules for these cards. Time for someone to publish the Comprehensive Rules for MS.

I ran into that last month - loaded 3x with one credit card then the 4th load failed. I just assumed Chase was being protective since it was a new card and used another one.
Good to know about this (unwritten) rule.

So a different (AU) card should solve the problem then.

Or just use a decent task management system. Chances are you already do ... just incorporate Buxx loads. e.g. I set 31-day reminders for loads, etc. (Yes, I know they're sometimes 28-day or 30-day cycles, but I've found through trial and error that 31 days works best for me.)

Early last year I was loading the Nationwide Visa buxx with the Chase Sapphire preferred card, there were no cash advance and no problems. I'm gonna start loading a few this month, there is still no cash advance, correct?
