I read somewhere in the blog that NW visa buxx card has very strict limit on the cash withdraw from its card, max $200 per week, which includes the cash back from grocery store and ATM withdraw. Can you guys confirm this? Thanks a lot!

Go a US Bank Buxx card and loaded it with my US Bank Flexperks (won't get the points for now, but the fees were $8 less for $517 load). Got an e-mail saying they need to verify it's me (with utility bill or driver's license) ... only options are fax (which I don't have) or phone (and they're not answering that phone number). Blargh.
Edit: Never mind, got through to them. If you sign up for a new account, the system will likely send an email asking for verification items (like a drivers license). I was told to disregard as they were able to verify it themselves. Card in the mail. |

You don't need to, after the initial account creation, you can create your own USB Visa Buxx Card in your name with your own account.
EDIT: From my experience, NW Visa Buxx is the only card that allows you to open it under your name w/o an extra "teen" at the time of a first time account opening So, is it correct that I would get the first USB Visa Buxx card in my name, or do I need to come up with a "teen's" name for the first card? http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...s/confused.gif Also, does the "teen" need an ss#? |

Also, does the "teen" need an ss#? Yes, the "teen" needs a SS# if you go through the USB route |

You want to do the NW Visa Buxx card if you have only one SS# (your own).
Yes, the "teen" needs a SS# if you go through the USB route Did you actually get a NW Buxx card without SSN for teen? |
At Nationwide, I used my own SSN for both myself and my teen. And then my wife used her SSN for both herself and our other teen.
No problems. |

If you need a spare teenager I have one available. He will volunteer to drain the card via mo and send back the funds via ap.:p

The limit is only $200 per atm weekly, what is the mo weekly limit?

So, from reading a couple of datapoints it appears that using a US Bank CC on their buxx does not give points. Not much data though. Anyone say otherwise?
