I used a Chase card to load $500 to my NW VB last week and I just noticed the charge on my statement is for $502. Is chase starting to charge a fee for these? They are posting as a NW Bank gift card purchase.

Isn't there a $2 funding fee?

Someone did not do their research and read the fee table and T&Cs...

I used the US Bank Club Carlson card to fund a US Bank Visa Buxx card. I am not sure if I will receive points for this. Just need to wait and see. I am curious if anyone has done this and what the result is.

How do you unload Nationwide visa buxx cards?
 

I was using Amex Serve to unload Nationwide visa buxx cards, but now I want to close Serve in order to get Bluebird. But Bluebird card cannot be loaded with debit cards online, so I am looking for other ways to liquidate Buxx card. I know I can go to Walmart and load buxx to BB, but Buxx cards are issued for children names, so it won't work.
I was doing ATM withdrawals from Allpoint ATMs ($200/week), but I was always charged $1, so I had to call them each time and ask to remove this incorrect fee, but this is a real hassle.
Any other ideas?

Name on debit card does not matter. Cashiers at walmart don't look at the debit card, you swipe it on the customer-side terminal and enter your PIN. Or, your children PIN.

Cashback at Supermarket - Stop and Shop in NYC area, for example, allow up to $200 cashback with any purchase.

This is easiest way imo - can't do volume like BB/VR, but still good for 10,000 UR/year



$1 ATM fee to cash out $200 is not all that bad - it's only 0.5%

Visabuxx card can be issued in your own name - it does not need to be a childs name. I think it costs $5 or $10 to get another card, so if you are concerned, just get one issued in your name.

Arrgh - all the pieces are in front of you for the best way to empty that BUXX card.:rolleyes:

I did this as well and got 0 Club Carlson points.

I've also tried to add my USAir Barclays card and can't add it. Tried my BoA Alaska Biz card and can't add it. The only cards I've been able to add are Chase and Citi (surpisingly no cash advance fees). Has anyone been able to find other cards that work with USBank BUXXX?

I've used Barclays and chase without any problems. Interesting to hear citi works. May have to test it out myself.

Has anyone tried a walmart MO purchase in the last day or two with NW? I asked for my usual $7xx money order and got an alternate tender required message. I'm not terribly worried, there are many other ways to empty the card, but it'd be a shame if we lost this one.

Hopefully just my card/location.

So how often can I load Buxx, what is the max number or max amount per month ?
