Take a look around at the brilliance of posters here. Hey, let's start a Facebook group for this stuff!!! What a great idea! |

Take it easy man. Calling and saying you need to change your credit card number because you lost your card and they gave you a new number is not going to raise a bunch of red flags..

But it would immediately make them aware that NON TD cards are still working. If this is not a red flag I dont know what would be.

If existing cards are not going to keep working indefinitely do you really think it's going to take them more than a couple weeks to figure out people are still loading using non-TD CCs?
Think about it this way. The phone reps will be aware of the new rules. If you call to have them switch your card, they will likely ask you if it's a TD Bank card. They will be able to tell if the number you give them is not a TD Bank card. This isn't going to work out for you. Continue using whatever "placeholder" MC you put in their and enjoy what little benefit you can for as long as it lasts. |

Very often IT changes are not 100% proof, loopholes do exist. But stupid and selfish acts definitely would expose loopholes sooner than later, thus making the patches that much quicker. I am sure you have witness the quick demise when some idiot thought he was doing the community a great service by posting the USBuxx zombie link after he signed himself up... In less than 2 hours, that link died. The link had been in quiet existence and shared in private MONTHS after it was no longer publicly available. Even a blogger respected this and pulled his post shortly after briefly exposed it couple months ago. Yet the link literally died right after some idiot posted in this thread. There is a lesson to be learned but sadly many still dont learn anything. Yeah, the brilliance of some posters around here is just amazing. |
Oh, came here wondering what's people are talking about and!!
Looks like (for now) the existing CC on record can still fund TD buxx? That is great. I'm happy with that. (I guess until CC expires. at that time we may need to call in to have new CC numbers manually entered by CSA? like someone discussing above? and we can only hope that "calling CSA to manually change CC numbers" doesn't trigger shut down of non-TD cc.... right?) |

Option to add funding accounts other than TD Bank Visa is now gone. Glad I got a "placeholder" MasterCard added last night when it was still an option. Hopefully once my Arrival+ gets here in the mail I can call in and have them change the CC number/exp./CVV. Fingers crossed that existing funding accounts will still work and you'll only be prevented from adding new, non-TD accounts. If that's the case I'll try to get them to change my Ink Visa on file with my Club Carlson when it arrives as well.

Actually yes it is. The first digits of each credit card number identify the issuing bank and type of card. When the CSR attempts to link the new card to your account it will give the same error as it does on the personal site. This is how GCM shut down AGC > VGC purchases.

Do you know how to fund the card online? I just got the card and have it activated, but I couldn't fine the button to add the fund from my account, all I got is Account Summary, Profile and Sign out, am I in the wrong place? |
